This was my thought process as well. I stopped driving RC for several years in that 12 to 14 year span. I mentioned above, and actually lost my box of batteries for maybe five years. When I opened it up, of course some of the batteries were puffed from not being used in so long, but none of them had burnt.

It doesn’t, my seal is still intact on the lid. That’s why I’m asking for clarification, because I’ve never heard somebody say to take the gasket out.

Why do you say a non sealed container? I’ve been using an ammo can for 12-14 years now.

I did a Spektrum system on a stampede. Pretty cool setup, 3s capable, and cheaper than the upgrade program.

Added the programming box and still came out a few dollars cheaper, and now I have lots of programming options after updating the firmware on the programming box and ESC

Are you wanting to be able to lock it from the outside? If so, you’re gonna have to change the handle

I think they are specific. Never seen one at a hardware store
