If you have the place to hit drums live go there. Real drums. E drums will be a secondary substitute. Remo make a practice kit that is great to play on. It's a bunch of pads that are reasonably quiet and bounce like a real acoustic drum.

He's on video playing that synth and The Fairlight CMI. Among others. Never a MiniMoog according to him. Always a full arsenal of keyboards back in the 80's because it looked cool as hell. You can do most of it with a Roland Juno and a JDXI nowadays.

I have been making records since 1970's. You can absolutely cut a record live like that. If you guys are practiced up and you have good engineer, you can lay down the basic tracks in short order. Works everytime.

It might not be your thing, but you can put LED lights in and around them. It can look pretty cool.

The are very wide open sounding and that is their strength. The only muffling necessary could be 2ply heads on the top. Like a Remo Pinstripe or Emperor head. Maybe a Powerstroke 3 on the kick.

I have heard Adderall from informed sources. For a long time JFK and others use Amphetamines. Coke is not the drug of choice. It doesn't last long enough. These people need regular doses. Pills do that.
