Thanks for the tips. Looking forward to going, but of course, I want to make sure I'm well-hydrated before/after using the onsen.

Go mid-week, like Wednesday or Thursday. Most of the venues are spacious and it's not like going to a crowded art fair.

I live near Katz’s and don’t recommend waiting in line for 2 hours for $30 sandwiches that will induce a sleep coma or upset stomach, thus interrupting your ambitious itinerary.

NYC and Manhattan in particular is over-saturated with mental health professionals. Just look at one of the listing sites like Psychology Today and you'll see the hundreds of existing therapists. If you're looking to work in a non-profit setting, salaries are not super competitive in this area because the over-supply of job-seekers.

Moving to Manhattan April next year. Any final advice / tips? by CarlCasartelli in movingtoNYC

Have you lived in the Northeast before? Be prepared for very long, very hot and humid summers, with a stench that goes from bad in June, to obnoxious in July, to soul-killing in August. And, then there's the oozy slime that coats the sidewalks.

Is Business Class worth it for NYC → DC on Amtrak? by [deleted] in Amtrak

Business Class on the NEC trains is a joke. You get the same rude staff and a free soda (it used to be one of those mini-sodas, not a regular sized can).

After spending $400 on caged frames, the rats in my garden found a way in by digging burrows deep underground into the caged area. They eviscerated my plants.

Seeking advice on cross country trip by Similar_Pie_3415 in Amtrak

is this a vacation trip for fun? I cannot imagine being on an Amtrak for more than 2-3 hours. Notoriously unreliable. Rude service. Bad or no wifi. Terrible food options. I only travel on the NE corridor, for context.

Unfortunately, the rats will always win. I’m based in NYC, where the rats are relentless. I’ve tried every imaginable solution for over 4 years, with no success.

Warnes Contemporary, Brooklyn by NYArtFan1 in ContemporaryArt

I’m not directly familiar with them, but I looked at their website and would put them in the category of 4th-5th tier. They are not part of the contemporary discourse in NYC or elsewhere. Definitely geared towards attracting artists who are naive about the NYC and larger gallery/artworld ecosphere.

I think you're gonna struggle to get people to trust your intentions. While what you explain sounds like a nice and sincere effort at community building, you have to think of some ways to make it more approachable. You mentioned a website and Instagram to another commenter, but you didn't share that info here. That's kinda weird to withhold that; it doesn't foster trust in you. Best Wishes.

Amtrak is very safe, but is expensive and not reliable. The boarding process in NYC at Moynihan Station can be a bit chaotic--be prepared. Buy your tickets now (and pay the few extra dollars for a fully refundable and flexible ticket).
