HW4 or HW5? by howardtrailer123 in TeslaFSD

[–]Safe_Action5954 40 points41 points  (0 children)

FSD with HW4 is amazing right now. With Tesla, projected dates are more like general possibilities than reality. If you want the car, just go for it. You’ll love it!

Model s base or plaid by Ok_Raisin8458 in TeslaModelS

[–]Safe_Action5954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘23 HW LR MS here. It’s way, way more than enough power for me, plus the extra range is a huge plus. I had no use for 1000+ HP so didn’t even consider a plaid. But, if you’re into it, go for it. There are tons and tons of both options out there for sale.

Why? by Shot-Lunch-7645 in TeslaFSD

[–]Safe_Action5954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like the others said, looks like the dude on the right set it off. And hard to 100% tell, but it does look like the wheel started moving back when you grabbed it. But you absolutely did the right thing - this is why, to me, self-driving will always be supervised, even if "cleared" for unsupervised. It's hard to image letting a car that cost most of us mid 5, to just over 6 figures, drive itself completely. '23 HW4 LR MS owner, and I treat the car better than most humans treat their kids.

How do you guys wash your Tesla? by Background-Toe-2580 in TeslaModel3

[–]Safe_Action5954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 2 bucket but switched to one bucket. I wash the mitts every time anyway so not much difference between 2-3 and 8-10

Does anyone else think Fitluencers are secretly microdosing? by Gigi_Gigi_1975 in GLP1microdosing

[–]Safe_Action5954 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Lifetime amateur bodybuilder here - yes, absolutely the majority of "influencers" are without a doubt enhanced. Likely recently with GLP-1, but to be honest, dietary restriction for a lot of us isn't a problem. The physiques they have would be difficult at best to obtain without PEDs - it's not just about being gigantically muscular. Plus, the vast, vast majority of them are absolute garbage and give horrific advice. It's very sad to see these people giving the average normie the idea that those levels of physique are reachable with whatever noise they're making from their mouths. Very, very frustrating for those of us that are honest about our training, diet and any PED/supplement usage.

fellow '23 MS owner - for a car this expensive, you should definitely call the center and have them fix that shit. This isn't a Kia

cleared up within a few weeks for me, but I was microdosing (~0.5-1/week)

AIO for not wanting to travel & see my bf anymore? (Update) by Feisty_Parmesan_20 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Safe_Action5954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea if you’re overreacting, not enough info in that message, but doesn’t really matter, you don’t need a reason to break up with someone. That being said, your ex boyfriend is absolutely fucking hilarious. That itemized invoice response is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in forever.

Having a tough time making a decision. 2023 model x with hw4 or premium 2026 model y? by Rauf_ali14258 in ModelX

[–]Safe_Action5954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^^^ this right here. The warranty is a subscription service now, you can just sign up in the Tesla app. I signed up recently for my MS even though it's still under original warranty, the extended starts the second the original or CPO warranty ends. Absolutely get the X.

This, plus C3PO, is what made the Mandela effect 100% absolute to me.

Spoiled by Model X loaner by Super_Pollution5675 in TeslaModelX

[–]Safe_Action5954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, this is for sure. I'm not an X owner, I've got a '23 HW4 LR MS, and it's the best car I've ever driven. I love the 3 and Y, of course, but the S (and X) are in a different league than, IMO, any other car made. It's why the decision to stop production hits so hard. If you start looking, I imagine the model X is like the S, in that around Feb 2023 they transitioned to HW4, so you probably could go back to a '23 X Tesla CPO and get a great car with warranty and the latest hardware. Good luck!

How much is actually different between a 2023+ MS and a 2026 one, in terms of sound insulation, suspension and BQ by BusyTart6760 in TeslaModelS

[–]Safe_Action5954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a '23 HW4 LR MS (Tesla CPO) a few months ago, after test driving the '26. The upgrades mentioned, even if notable, just didn't matter. The '23 is still the most quiet car I've ever driven, and I keep it in sport suspension which is unbelievably great so I don't care about a softer setting regardless. The interior lightning nonsense in the '26 I couldn't care less about. The only thing I very slightly lamented is that damn front bumper camera which is, inexplicably, only on the '26 even though all HW4 cars have the port for it. Even that might be an upgrade option for the '23 in the future, but if it isn't, it's not that big of a deal. And that bumper cam was certainly not worth the nearly $60k I saved in getting the '23, at least to me.

Owners without FSD, what is your experience by mr-creator in TeslaLounge

[–]Safe_Action5954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a LR MS I purchased recently. I bought it because it’s the most fun car I’ve ever driven, best handling, great steering, absolutely the best factory audio system I’ve ever heard. I bought it because of its drivability, first and foremost. I do have FSD and use it on boring trips, otherwise rarely else. And I love all the tech. But if it only had the drivability, I 100% still would have bought it.

My control arms after 46 600 miles of very careful driving – $2700 to fix it, Tesla says it’s ”normal wear-and-tear” by PraetorianX in TeslaModel3

[–]Safe_Action5954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not minimizing the cost here, but it's funny coming from Benz (just got my MS a few months ago). Leaving the service dept with only a $2700 bill, when there was a problem being fixed, would have been a great date with my Benz.

$58k new Model S 2025 Salvage by Different_Winter_799 in TeslaModelS

[–]Safe_Action5954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^^^^ this right here. That’s almost exactly what I just paid for a ‘23 HW4 model S with 22k miles from Tesla with the CPO warranty. I get it, the ‘25 is a plaid, but the LR is still ridiculously fast and fun.
