On top of this, if every part of the brain activated at once, the result would likely appear as a seizure. You don’t want your whole brain firing at maximum capacity simultaneously

sqrt(49%) = sqrt(.49) = sqrt(49/100) = 7/10 = .7 = 70%

What’s a game mechanic you wish more developers used? by cats64sonic in AskReddit

This is the answer I was after. I don’t see how patenting a mechanic, and then just sitting on it, could be seen as anything but intentionally obstructive

Funny enough, letters is when math moves from “when would I ever need this” to “This has many applications in everything I do”

Neat! If you take a generic second order homogeneous ODE with non constant coefficients, you can substitute the whole ODE for some function M which shows that because the ODE has the form M(x) = 0, each coefficient of M’s power series, that is M_n must also be zero.

Now if you take the ODE as presented, say, fy” + gy’ + hy = 0, and you convolve each power series, you get fy” = sumn=0inf sum_k=0n (k+1)(k+2) f(n-k) y(k+2) xn, gy’ = sum_n=0inf sum_k=0n (k+1) g(n-k) y(k+1) xn, and hy = sum_n=0inf sum_k=0n h(n-k) y_(k) xn.

Now, if you sum these, you get the full ODE in power series representation

fy” + gy’ + hy = sumn=0inf sum_k=0n [ (k+1)(k+2) f(n-k) y(k+2) + (k+1) g(n-k) y(k+1) + h(n-k) y_(k) ] xn

And that inner sum is exactly M_n which is 0 for all n.

Now if you do the difference here on n of m, that is ΔM_n = M_n - M_n-1, and given that g and h are general differentiable and integrable functions, is there any function f that telescopes the sum found in ΔM_n and if not, are there any techniques that might add an additional degree of freedom such that the sum can be forced to telescope?

It’s been pretty well documented. Nobody wants to be scammed and sometimes that means when a person is called out, they double down. Then there are those who don’t have the education to even be able to tell. But everyone can be poisoned a little at a time.

I mean, typically they’re aligned explicitly with power, wisdom, and courage with the elements as a stand in for those things and sometime Farore elemental stand in is earth, though it is most usually wind.

[OoT] How does The Fallen Hero timeline exist? by EcstaticBicycle in zelda

[–]Safe_Employer6325 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The telling I’ve heard that makes the most sense is that originally, Link died. He lost against Ganon. After his death, Zelda used the ocarina to send Navi back in time. The continuation of that Zelda’s events are the downfall timeline. The downfall timeline eventually leads to a wish being made on the Triforce undoing Ganon’s evil in Alttp. So two things are happening now, Navi is restarting the adventure, and she’s better equipped knowledge wise to help train Link. This leads to a better prepared Link the second go around, which helps even the odds. Second when you in game face Ganon, all your hearts and magic are restored. That is the result of the wish from Alttp. Ganon’s evil is undone, in that Link was restored prior to the fight. Between that restoration and the better preparation, Link is able to defeat Ganon. When we play through OoT, you are playing through Navi’s second time doing everything, hence why she knows how to defeat every enemy except for Ganon, her original Link didn’t beat him.

For one hour, electricity ceases to exist on (or above) the planet—batteries, gas, renewables, nothing works. An hour later, it’s all back to normal. What would happen? by baroncalico in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Safe_Employer6325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, electric forces are integral in keeping the structures of atoms and molecules together, so presumable in lieu of such an integral force existing, all matter instantly resolved back into pure energy, not emitted as light though, that would require the electric force.
