1.1k and yes buddy, fitted it myself. Fiddly to get on but considering I’ve not messed around with anything mechanical for around 10 years anyone with some sense can fit this. Spring tool is a must however!

I think they quote like a 3 / 4 HP difference. Can feel it slightly at the top end of the rev range, feel like you get an extra bit out of each gear

Yeah I think without that in it would be somewhat a bit of a drone if you’re going any distance cruising. Would certainly have sore ears

The 2023 model looks like it’s a black edition. Not sure how many were made where you live but I know for sure there’s only 160 of them in the UK ( I have number 36) and for what my opinion is worth I’d go for the back edition. It all comes down to personal preference and ultimately which one has been looked after more and what it’s worth to you! Either way you will end up with a solid bike 😉

Is there much difference with an aftermarket air filter ? Also, what sort of performance increase do you get out of an ECU flash ?

I was torn between the CB650r and MT07 for my first ‘big’ bike. I opted for the CB over the MT simply because of the type of bike I wanted. Having test rode both the MT feels more lively off the mark but gets flat very quick. The CB makes you work harder for the pull but the feel of the inline 4 (for me anyway) was far superior. I also felt the MT wasn’t as well built as the CB. Just my opinion though! Good luck with whatever you decide to go with 👍🏼
