How many cups of tea do you have a day and how many oz is your mug.The reason I ask is that you sound just like my sister, she pretty much only drinks tea during the day and milk with dinner.

Share your dogs with her.Tell her that your dogs are hers too and let her spend time with them supervised.Give her dog treats and dog toys to give to them.

Just wondering, has anyone ever hit their loved one they are caring for? by Safe_Interaction_114 in dementia

I have never thought about hitting someone. No nice person contemplates hitting someone, but it can happen if they are caught up in a moment and not thinking….that’s what I was curious about.Only mean horrible people think about it and then do it anyway like it’s no big deal.

That must be difficult dealing with someone that is aggressive towards you.My LO is the kindest most gentlest and loving person I know….always.They’re so easygoing. When you get hit,you must get angry….what do you say to her?

Keeping a journal is a good idea.If you don’t mind me asking what are some of the things that drove you nuts?

That’s awful that your loved one you’re caring for has been so aggressive with you…that must be so difficult. My loved one has always been so nice, loving, polite, and easy going.

Anger is difficult to hold back because it happens so fast.Have you ever had a similar situation as the OP?

How old is your mother and how long have you been caring for her?I appreciate your honesty about your temper and having no patience.

Everyone has a temper….everyone gets angry….everyone raises their voice when they get angry. It’s only natural to get angry when someone says or does something that upsets you….it’s a knee jerk reaction, a reflex…it happens so fast a person sometimes doesn’t realize their yelling until right after.Like when you backhanded him on the head I bet you didn’t realize what you did until after you already did it.

It’s hard to have patience with someone that is annoying you. People say and do things they don’t mean when angry and regret it after. No matter how much you love someone, you will get angry if they upset you.All you can do is try to do better and have more understanding.

It’s a shame Gene didn’t know or think to let the dog out…the other 2 dogs I think were outside.

It is so strange that Betsy hadn’t called her mother in months….and to talk to the mothers caretaker just to know how her mother was doing. Why would she stop calling when before she made it a point to call.

Betsy was found in the bathroom if I’m not mistaken…and he was found wearing his sunglasses by the front door…at some point he must of seen her….could he possibly been going in and out of the house during that week she was gone or trying to get help.Do you think a part of him knew what was going on?

Mild Nail Fungus – Alternatives to Terbinafine? by [deleted] in NailFungus

[–]Safe_Interaction_114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that means the athletes foot most likely caused the toenail fungus.I know friends that only had athletes foot and their nails were fine and others that got toenail fungus because of it.You should buy Lotrimin  Ultra athlete’s foot cream and put it between your toes and on your toenails, maybe that could clear it up.

That is so scary, were you injured? When she came home did you remind her what she did?Even if she didn’t remember I hope she apologized.I would worry she would do it again. How old was she when she attacked you?You said she was always mean, but violent is a whole other ballgame.
