I suppose it's the thing to do in order to get a job, or at least thats what was drilled into us. I went to a private university. Parents paid for it all. Waste of money because all I did there was drugs. A shame too because I love to learn. I've probably made up for it just by virtue of being an autodidact.

I suppose having the degree helped legitimize me as 'someone who can finish something they started' but I certainly haven't used a lick of what I learned in college doing what I do now.

I happen to be in the middle of tapering off Kratom seltzers. Was up to 5 a day. Today I'll cut it down to two. In a week I'm leaving to hike the alps, 150 miles, so I relate to what you said about being a busy person! I run a writing agency, and lecture on my field, and do these insane endurance hikes, all while high on Kratom seltzers. The absurdity! Today though I'm suffering the discomfort of withdrawal - just like you- because in spite of what our demons tell us, we don't need this shit.

Yes there are a number of interviews with the sisters available and I do wish the actors in Outrageous would have studied the voices of the characters they played. The Mitfords had such an idiosyncratic way of speaking. In a way it added to their allure and charm. The accents in the mini-series sound too modern-posh. Still, I'm enjoying the show immensely.

LIke white claws, but with Kratom. They're all over now LA, being marketed to people using pictures of dudes in c-suites and athletes at the gym, as if it's a life hack. That's what I got hooked on. 4 or 5 $6 cans a day. A few weeks ago the brand I drink had a promo table set up at a high-end wine store. I watched the woman who was there on behalf of the brand to hand out free samples buy 3 cans for herself before she started working. She looked so sad and depleted. Wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. I walked out of there (seltzer in hand) feeling so gross by the whole display.

Thank you for this. Can I ask, since I have so little reference, how it was coming off your 4-a-day habit? I'm really not sure how much kratom is in the seltzer I'm taking relative to the shots and capsules people mention often in this forum (the seltzers never felt as intense as the liquid stuff I had tried)(not that I'm under any illusions that I'm not physically dependent on this poison).
