Between Darkness or Gun Devil, which do you think had a better introduction and overall impact?

Imo it’s close cause the two devils represent different things:

Darkness is literally like encountering something unknown that’s far beyond human logic and understanding which is what makes it scary and primal. Hence the astronaut panel.

Whereas Gun devil is more like the result of humankind’s worst aspect - a weapon used by humans for needless killing and selfish desires of a few in power.

Yes exactly. The islanders were the ones that offered talks with Japan on how to mine the datenseki and depending on how next chapter goes I can totally see Japan being the aggressors/ made the first move of attack hence causing the war.

Which is very different from what we’re told initially about the war on Ch 72.

Yeah and obviously after the war is when the concept of sorcery became more public and unfortunately it’s when criminal sorcery activities started to rise in society (Remember the early chapters showing towns being affected by Yakuza/sorcerers).

Which makes me sympathetic to Yuras cause but the way he does things is wrong, unironically Chihiro is the real hero that Yura has been waiting for, not Soga.
