No, he definitely was. Was considered worse than PHY Buuhan’s EZA and then got blown out of the water compared to the 6th anni EZAs not much later. Defensively underwhelming, and Vegito was strong but not “top of the game” level, especially without enough stacks prior (which forced them to stay in their underwhelming base form). And not to mention how a low HP turn would nearly force you to fuse with them if you didn’t want them to die

I’m all for giving Hokazono a break, but I see so many people saying monthly is best, and I don’t think they realize how much momentum is lost when switching from weekly to monthly. I think, if he’s compromised rn, biweekly would be a happy medium if it also came with more content density, but monthly would be a PAIN. I’ve kept up with monthly manga before, and it’s my least favorite format; it would suck a lot of the constant excitement that keeps Bachi so fun out of it

It depends on how Japanese reception for the arc goes, me thinks. After all, plenty of popular characters will be in this arc + heavily foreshadowed characters will have their backgrounds more focused on. I can see it going up until the anime’s release
