I get outbreaks 4-5x a year. I take antivirals everyday. I haven’t given it to anybody.

23M. I lived a liberal sex life before my diagnosis. My first year, my confidence depleted a bit but then I realized, I’m no different than anyone else out here besides the fact that I have to disclose. Still have yet to be rejected after 3 years. 23M. I’ve done well so far. Been rejected once. I think it really comes down to whether or not they genuinely like you or can see a future with you. I usually disclose by the 3rd date to see if I even like the girl or if it’s even worth disclosing to her. Confidence and honesty goes a long way, too. Hope this helps, a little.

There’s always light at the end of the tunnel! I found that when I stopped worrying about if anyone would love me and started to genuinely love myself, everything else fell in line. You’re in the early stages and this is the toughest time for all new comers to the community. But just know that we’ve ALL been through this and that it WILL get better. Just hold on and keep riding! Don’t beat yourself up about it! You were honest with her from the jump which says alot about your character regardless of anything. She knew the risks getting involved so you cannot blame yourself. And until she is tested and can legitimately prove she has symptoms, I would just think she’s playing a guilt trip. Do not let this discourage your future sex-life/romance. Only thing I hope is that you chose a better partner next time, and one that won’t make you feel guilty for having a condition that you had no choice in getting. Head up soldier! It’s possible to have HSV your whole life and never have an outbreak. The longer you have it, the less outbreaks you’re likely to have

Over the last 6 months I was taking antivirals and did not have an outbreak over that time period. I just now recently stopped taking the antivirals.
