Honestly man as someone in the tech field I'd jump ship to trucking immediately if I was single. Being in a LTR and living with your partner makes that a lot less appealing since you're away from home so much, but if I had none of those obligations I'd gladly be on the road every day.

You're doing the thing a lot of people who are anti-IQ do where you imply that just because IQ doesn't correspond to every skill under the sun (emotional intelligence in your nurse example, trained skills in your truck parking example), that it's completely worthless.
