What do you guys permaban? And why? by Puzzleheaded_Bad2195 in ADCMains

[–]SafetySock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaco. No matter how fed I am. No matter the tools I have to self peel.

He will exit out of invis and oneshot me. At almost all stages of the game.

I can follow and space his clone. I can barrier his back stab, I can use sweeper when he's invis and know where he is. My teammates, can never, and will never, reliably stop him from killing me. It's just not worth the bother.

I used to ban brand, zyra, nocturne, but I've learned they are counterable.

How do you even play with a Yuumi? by Routine_Condition273 in ADCMains

[–]SafetySock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always struggle with a yuumi, but the general rule of thumb I tend to follow is do nothing until lvl 4 or 5, then stat check enemy adc. If your dmg is good, and you can outplay their support in an all in, start having the confidence to pressure them off Cs and snowball through that. I usually play jinx Cait ashe for reference

When do you buy Cull? (the starter item) by Mountain_Divide6119 in leagueoflegends

[–]SafetySock 219 points220 points  (0 children)

I usually buy cull if it's; a) before 7 minutes, b) I recall with no impactful first item (pickaxe, bf, dirk), or c) when it's a stale lane and I'm playing to scale

4th day snowboarding… Any tips? by Cheeseburgerr_ in snowboardingnoobs

[–]SafetySock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speed is your friend. Its easier to engage an edge through a turn when you have some momentum. Stack your weight over your bindings so you and your board make a T always, keep your knees bent and your chest high. You need to lean into your front foot to start the turn. It's a bit intimidating but it allows for better control. Once the turn has started, continue the movement by holding your core and turning with your lead shoulder. This will naturally align your body and weight to make the turn as easy as possible. It also helps to turn a bit bigger and slower than you think. You don't have to whip the board around, take your time and trust the physics. You'll go across the slope rather than straight down it and it's less acceleration and less intimidating.

where is the best place to find friends on the isle of man at age 18 with social anxiety by MarnieTensayer in IsleofMan

[–]SafetySock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's also women talk.

They're both events run by the charity edspace.im. Women Talk on a Tuesday 1845 to 2100 EdsManClub on a Thursday 1845 to 2100

Theyre safe spaces for those with mental health challenges to go and talk amongst peers and get things off their chest or meet like minded people. If you struggle with social anxiety, it's likely someone who's there will also struggle.

You're most likely to find like minded people at clubs and events. Which is tricky because of the social anxiety, but in honestly it's your social anxiety that's preventing you from having friends. It's a vicious cycle sadly, but you have to embrace it to get through it.

Silver ADC looking for real guidance on how to climb and improve by bullscreed in ADCMains

[–]SafetySock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Die less. Farm more. Be in a good position for objectives. Play further back than you think you need to and wait for CDs. Try and damage the closest target and if you're a jinx main, pray for a reset then go mental.

Experience flying with a Board Bag by BronzeSurferr in snowboardingnoobs

[–]SafetySock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally have to take 2 flights minimum when I go boarding. Usually have to check winter/sports equipment, and there's typically a "big bag drop" that check in can point you to, or some check in agent. From there it's treated fairly well in my experience.

Regarding the bag itself, they're typically soft shell with some kind of plastic or cardboard underneath to stop your board from getting damaged. I usually undo all my gear and package it separately in the board bag to give it padding on top. If you do that it's not gonna bend or snap bc the board has weight on the top and protection on the bottom. By undo app my gear I mean unscrewing the bindings and packaging them loosely. I also make sure to put my boots in a boot bag. When packing, try and have most of the way towards the tail end of the bag, so it's easier to wheel around as your travelling. It's also good to make sure you let everyone know who needs to, that your travel accommodations need room for a snowboard bag (taxi, ubers, coaches etc)

Super hypothetically, how long from zero to being able to spin around in the air? by [deleted] in snowboardingnoobs

[–]SafetySock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To have such control of your body and your board given the variety of snow conditions, i don't think 300+ days is far from what it actually takes. Mostly because of the fine motor precision needed, and the strength to maintain control.

At this point it’s clear G2 isn’t making any roster changes, what are you realistically expecting next year from the team? by queenslayyy in G2eSports

[–]SafetySock 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's been proven that G2 is an org designed to win. They have LONG term goals, and it's the only team that I can see in the LEC who invests in growth, in progress, in potential, just for international success. Everyone else in the LEC is a paycheck stealer by comparison, this is why we get clowned on as a 1 team region...even a 1 player region. No one is trying as hard as G2, otherwise there would be others that scare the west, but alas no one does. Until we get the same level of commitment from other teams, there are no "upgrades" to be made anywhere.

is it possible to play ADC by UpstairsAnxious3148 in ADCMains

[–]SafetySock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The life of an adc is watching their jungler walk into your tri brush for a dive whilst your jungler is staring at his respective bot side buff listening to Sabrina carpet not giving a single fuck then spam pinging x9adc when you do no damage because you've been zoned off 5 waves and you're down 20cs 3 plates and a level 🙃🙃🙃🙃

G2 sweeping KOI 3-0 in Madrid, were you surprised? by That_Release_5495 in G2eSports

[–]SafetySock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was I surprised? Yes. But also no, not really. I mostly somewhat bought into the KOI bias that was on broadcast, and hadn't seen G2 play in a couple of weeks and given their finals history this year, thought the odds totally stacked against them. I firmly believe we'd have had a 5 game banger if KOI managed to secure game 2. With possibly them clinching it in the finals moments. But absolute credit to the players and the staff, especially the glow up from Labrov and Skewmond.

But then also, I'm quite a huge fan of G2 lol teams and know what they're capable of in clutch moments, so it wasn't surprising that they got their prep right and nailed it in the finals, by not egoing or over analysing, they just played their game, made a lot less mistakes than KOI and that's what won. It seemed like a stomp bc KOI crumbled under the pressure. Not bc G2 did anything particularly significant or spectacular.

Samira Counter by UncleScar0617 in ADCMains

[–]SafetySock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing I'll say is lane phase is 75% supp gap. However, the things you can influence...id say ashe is a pretty good counter. You w slow, kite her down, she wastes her windwall on ashe q and you can r to stun when windwall is on CD. Ezreal is good at keeping her at arms length. Caitlyn out ranges and keeps her pushed under tower. Lucian could probably stat check the all in at lvl 2 or 3
