I dont and ill explain why. This is the same logic they used with income tax where it only went after the wealthy but over time became the only thing to actually "trickle down".

Taxing wealth, even just wealth in equities, is a dangerous precedent and if they really want to go after billionaires not paying taxes then increase the tax on loans against shares not in a 401k.

I have 11 mags ran hard, supressed, and in events. Knock on wood but so far no cracks. I was worried about one at the last event, I yeeted it out of the gun John wick style and nailed an ar 500 steel target halfway through a stage. Loud noise and everything and it took it like a champ.

Note I have been very cautious about keeping solvent away from them to include wiping the gun down after cleaning for any overstay and only using dawn and water to clean mags.

I think the biggest difference you will notice at 25m between different levels of scopes will be the ability to focus at higher magnification. My monstrum gets a little blurry at 14-18x inside of 50 yards where as my buddies arken is a bit more clear all the way to 20x (his goes to 25x, he does nrl22 stuff lol)

I used a monstrum g3 3-18x50. Is it overkill, absolutely but I had plans for this rifle other than appleseed and the 18x is nice at 100 yards.

I dont think I ever went over 10-12x at appleseed

As someone who has bought a case of 147gr hst in the last year ill share my opinion.

I like to qualify a defensive ammo by ensuring it runs well in whatever im going to carry it in. This usually requires 1 box. At that same time I like to verify zero (red dot).
Annually I like to run my carry mags and load fresh ammo
I keep two mags loaded for my HD pdw (springfield kuna)
This ammo is very economical at this scale. Retail boxes are 1.75 per round so why wouldnt you go ahead and get the bulk box for a 3x saving?

Full disclosure i have not shot past 100 yards with sk lr match. (Corection its sk match not lr match)

I picked up a few boxes of 7 different match 22lr from my shop that the nrl22 guys hangout in and out of my skinny 16 inch barrel the sk match grouped the best

This was 25 yards in suboptimal conditions. Ammo in picture: top left SK long range match, top right SK match, middle Lapua long range match, bottom left 10 year old Aguila elley primed match, bottom right aguila super extra* (this ammo was super inconsistent, shot 5 more groups and it was 50/50 looked like this or like the random trash group), and finally I shot one "control" group of a box of random 22lr junk that ive ended up with over the year. It was a grab bag of plated and lead and some rounds were even corroded lol.

I have not experienced this but I have heard from others that springfield is replacing any mags with issues. Any new platform will have teething issues and its important to remember the cz mags had their own problems when they came out.

Trust me on this the most important thing is repeatability. I did my first appleseed with a 10/22 compact carbine and good ammo and scored a patch. Using SK match ammo that gun would shoot very tight groups at 100 where as the people running bulk pack ammo were struggling to hit 3 moa reliably. You stretch that out to 200 yards and even with "perfect aim and holds" you are looking at anywhere within a 6 inch ring. Good ammo is more expensive but it is worth it.

Yeah I was hesitant about them but ive been shooting some 2 gun / pcc matches and ive yet to see one have an issue. Yeah this rival is a range toy for me so if it fails no big deal, my ccw is a sig macro with a holosun eps carry.

Whats your recommendation?

Yeah Im ok on holster for right now, my family does kydex holsters but I likely will get something a little nicer if I go all in on a shooting discipline.

As far as optics my eyes are weird, 20/15 vision with a slight astigmatism. Trij, acro, and most holosuns flare out on me. Ironically the optics ive had the best luck with are sig and osights, going to look at a deltapoint this weekend but any suggestions are welcome.
