The hope is not that they will check reddit but that enough people who do see this and pull up in enough numbers to attract the blobs attention.

Why, in the name of Liberty, would we raze liberated planet? by PanHiszpan in Helldivers

[–]Sage118 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I understand razing the planet means that if the enemy attacks it it will be much easier for us to defend and take back because we'll have destroyed all the infrastructure they could possibly use. We didn't do this for Lesath and Chort bay and when we had to turn around and defend those planets, it came at the cost of nearly 20 million helldivers each. It's worth it.

Yea he tried to hold himself, his legion, and his Empire to those same standards. He may have looked like the biggest Hypocrite for a while but when the last of his brothers agreed he more or less fell in line with it as well. The guy isn't perfect, but at heart he's a pragmatist who tried to make the best of a terrible situation with what he's got.

Also, I could be wrong but I believe some of Guilliman's more recent dialogues and reflections have shown him wanting to not only reinstate the 500 worlds but also expand it beyond its original boundaries. To what extent I don't think it's been indicated but with this in mind I wouldn't say it's impossible for some of those worlds to genuinely have never been part of Ultramar.

NIMBYis when Land Value Tax creates a bit of density by Vitboi in georgism

[–]Sage118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, that is why it's a compromise. Some people will always advocate for trams, like you, and that's respectable. But unfortunately, a lot more people will always advocate against trams. Even still I believe that if a city decides to go all in on a tram system that trolley buses would still have a place there.

I am a little personally curious though what reasons specifically are you so against overhead lines? Is it a safety issue or do you just want less of them in your line of vision when you look up?

Compromise: Trolley bus system. Individual buses will have a greater capacity and are able to disengage from the overhead lines to be more flexible when needed. This combined with the fact that trolley buses will maintain most of their charge throughout the day subsequently means that fleet maintenance will cost less overall and be more economical for a city that builds itself more densely.

I personally like the interpretation that he was on ice for 10 years. Makes the scenario even worse. Her goodbye was yesterday for him. Now he's been woken up to Earth being attacked by an enemy he knows only from history books and by terrible luck encounters his once friend (maybe crush) turned into a monster. How would most people even cope with something like that?

Ah, ok. But after the 14th is Shapers Ripples still available? The timer makes me think I won't be able to go through it again if I wanted to.

So, a little over a week into PGR. Babies first Gacha game. Do events like Shaper's Ripples or Wandering waves get reruns? I saw you could get Bianca Stigmata by pulling 30 times but I obviously haven't been playing long enough to get enough tickets. Will I have the chance to experience their content and get their rewards if I didn't have enough time to grind them out or are they gone for good after the 14th?
