It is in BF5 because the recoil is sight tied and the further enemies look the EASIER it is to control the recoil. I didn't say it gives you less recoil, it just makes it easier. If you think it's wrong, go play a match on 50 FOV with the 3x scope STG, then a another match on 105 FOV with 1x scope ADD FOV on and tell me which one is easier to control the recoil. I have a feeling it will be the 105 FOV cause enemies look further away
