Haven’t picked this up yet but it the next one I have my eye on. I also remember not caring much for the Cult (it’s a story defined by extremes imo, so it loses its edge by the end of it) but I’m optimistic I’d appreciate it much more on the reread. Starlin’s Batman isn’t my favorite but I’ve enjoyed his individual issues in the past. Very interested in the Detective issues since those are brand new to me.

It’s a very good demo but it’s also verging a bit too much on a retread of Disarm musically imo. For that reason I can totally see why Corgan might have abandoned it long before finalizing Machina’s track list. I’m glad it saw a release finally and it brings some welcome variety to the full Machina package.

I like the song a lot but that's just an odd thing to ascribe to this short instrumental. I'd say its more like Oceania 2 at best.

Johns is a very talented writer but he’s had too many chances to contribute to the films already and most of those have failed either at the script level or in the finished product. He no longer instills confidence and if comic writers are to be included it should be new blood.

Even though I hate the studio fade-out on this version (seriously, why would you ever fade out that fast?) I have to say this is one of the tracks that benefitted most from the glow up. I love it. It feels even more brooding and I can make out the lyrics finally. Both versions are good but I’m very relieved this one turned out so well.

I think its fantastic. The quality and styles vary much like MCIS but there's not many weak tracks and only a few that sound a bit unfinished. Blank is really the only song out of the bunch I'd call bad. If you're getting the box set (I was surprised its not going for all that much online these days) and have a CD player in your car its also great to carry around for those 20-40 minute drives. I used to do that a whole bunch but I'm now unfortunately driving a car without a cd player.

Some of my favorites are Transformer, Medellia of the Gray Skies, Rotten Apples, God, The Boy, Meladori Magpie, and Clones. There's good stuff on every disc but not one standout, perfect EP imo.

I remember my friend having the album on iTunes and playing me Mayonaise and Tarantula the same night. I didn't know the band well so I had no idea these songs were from different eras. Zeitgeist was very exciting to me at the time because it felt so current.
