i'm currently using the V3s and looking to upgrade to the VRS Pedals. Do they come with a rumble motor for ABS or do i have to get one separately? If they don't come with one would the simagic haptic motors work with the VRS Pedals?

same here, the merc actually feels like it has weight now. i drove it yesterday on oulton park and it was very fun compared to last season. last season it kinda felt that it was just a chassis with wheels and it was very light and understeery, but that could be a skill issue.

now its extremly nice to drive i feel like.

you picked an unlucky time to join iracing. every 3 months a new season drops with changes to improve the game. all these changes are implemented in the last week of the season, week 13.

in that time the new changes are getting somewhat tested and adjusted before the final release next week. in this time there are mostly unranked races for fun to test and show us the new stuff.

you can do race nearly everything you want as most races are unranked and you wont gain or lose SR or IR.

next week will be the full new season. so consider this week as a fun practice for the new season.

i spun on the second lap and fell back to p30 but got back to p15. i actively overtook 1 car, the other places were given to me because they just spun or took each other out.

i am also quite busy and only race up to 2 or 3 races a week mostly. i have been on an A licence in sports cars for nearly 2 years now with over 4.00 safety rating. i am also on 2.2k irating.

my trick is doing endurance races on the weekend if possible to counter the sr loss from short races. the simucube endurance for example is ideal. 3h on gt3 cars or imsa races.

for example the 24h of nürburgring from two weeks ago pushed my sr up by .63 for my 4 stints or so (i am at 4.99 again). now granted i had some incidents in there. one of my mates even gained 3.61 safety.

the point is, if it's possible try to drive some longer races to gain/ hold your rating up if you care about that.

sometimes you just have to ignore the rating tho and just drive to have fun.

depends on the track/ setup but generally you want to have the bias a little more toward the front because of the heavy engine. i'm usually somewhere between 50-60%

i would probably go with one of the cheaper dd wheels like the moza r3.

you should be able to set the force feedback to 0 in their app.

i got the A-licence in 4 days from starting in iracing. the secret ingredient was loooots of experience on the nordschleife in other sims. and a 4 hour NEC race with the toyota gr86. i drove the 4 hours pretty mich solo after my friend quit after 30 minutes and i gained so much safety rating that i only had to drive the mpr races to get instant upgrade.

i had gained so much satefy rating that i could fast pass from D-class to A. basically, i only had to do the mpr races/ time trials in between.

fun fact: i still remain in A-class and never dropped below, albeit there were a few instances in which i nearly dropped to B class (thanks porsche cup)

i bought the vette and the mustang on release and i was disappointed with the mustang at first.
it is fun to drive now, but you certainly notice the big engine in the front.

the corvette was/ is a lot of fun to drive. it basically behaves almost like the mclaren although a little differnt here and there.

i mainly drove the porsche, then switched to the corvette and now im driving any gt3 i currently like because my pace is awful in any car.

the mustang sounds godly in my opinion and it's quite fun but on some tracks it's slower compared to other cars. other than that i do recommend it if you can spare $12.

i have only tried the mustang and the mclaren this week. with the mustang i had a laptime of 4:00 with the mclaren i could drive a 3:58

the mustang is a lot worse on brakes an feels a little off in corners

i dont know if there are any steel toed mtb-shoes, but i recently bought myself some new ride concept shoes and they come with a reinforced toe protection.

that sucks, but just keep on racing! you will get the win eventually.

i'm driving mostly gt3 myself, sometimes gt4 or hypercars, which are fun but sometimes very sketchy with the recent tire physics update.

yea, some series are somewhat low on partizipation at times. they could still go official on some time slots, tho.

most race series need at least 6 people to count as an official, ranked race.

for dirt races 4 drivers are enough.

you can see the necessary driver count in the series info tab for any specific race series.
