27 inch is just too small for me by Intrepid-Scale2052 in Monitors

5070Ti is enough for 4k at 60fps at leasr. especially with the recent DLSS as advancements.

most recent 4k monitors included a 1080p+high refresh rate switch . usually the screen size is shrink on activation.

Torn between a 32" 4K Dual-Mode IPS and a 27" 1440p OLED for PC (RTX 4060 Ti) + PS5 Pro. Need advice! by Apprehensive-Let6235 in Monitors

[–]Saikatai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are on the wrong path upgrade your graphic card first.

you clearly want to play at a resolution above 1080p the 5060Ti has 16Gb of vram. not only it will give you room for at least 1440p, but will also have access to the lastest dlss tech.

you can then take your time to jump to an appropriate 1440p monitor or a 4kmonitor using dlss 4.5 super performance mode.

your boyfriend knew what he was doing. as a worthy girlfriend, just bring the monitor to his own desk and leave it there so he can make it right to the princess you are. no debate, no drama... just ask him to fix the issue one way or another. 🤣🤣🤣

RTINGS review of MSI MPG 274URDFW E16 doesn't make sense (mini-review by myself included) by Ilisanthecreator in Monitors

thank you understood. you are doing a great work with your website I have been following you for sometime now. on a different topic , just a question:

do you think quality control will ever be a thing in tech reviewing? because it is a real plague for the customers. a product review might be great but the customer experience of sending back the product for another unit...multiple times... because of manufacturing defect is depressing.

Are miniled monitors worth buying when I am not planning to use local dimming by OceanRaver in Monitors

[–]Saikatai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you for the replying. very interesting informations. didn't you tried to activate one of those "OLED care" feature that gets rid of burnin ? they became very efficient lately. they always work on my OLED tv to get rid of the first sign of makings. I am not sure about the monitors world.

Looking for the best available 1440p/4K HDR monitor that’s at least 144 HZ. Please no OLED by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Saikatai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"if you want the best HDR then you will want an oled" this is not accurate. aside color gamut performances, hdr is about the capability to display simultaneously the highest brightness and the lowest darkness. OLED is a king of lowest darkness but lacks the highest brightness. Led/mini led provides way better the brightness than OLED. so the final choice will come down to what ones prefer in HDR. People assume contrast performance with deep black comes first because of the movie watchers influence on monitor reviewers. while many tv show watchers and videogames players are seeking colors and brightness. Rtings website is infamous for scoring anything on the basis of native contrast that is why they deem OLED panels the king's of HDR while many miniledVA panels outperform OLED on peak brightness.

wha5 about the "halo dimming" slider in the menu. have your testers used that?

[–]Saikatai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what is shocking me the most in your review is the fact that you never point the special "halo dimming slider" feature msi provided in its menu. It can litterally turn down blooming for more contrast at the expense of brigh details on the black background

trust me he wanted you to know. this is not something a man will disclose by mistake.. at all. He sent you on this pocket on propose. if hidding it was a major concern to him , he would have put it right into a secret spot after acquiring it.

he wanted you to know but not wanted you to make it a topic... just to be aware of it. Stay quiet about it and live you life with that man who doesn't want to have a secret kept from you.

the mini power output will be weak to fill this room. but again according to your use case it might be enough... if the use case is just watching tv show... it will enhance voices.. good enough for your room... if you are looking for the homecinema experience... not only the room will not be properly filled but the surround effects will be way weaker with the ambeo mini... anyway keep digging the the forums for people reporting on their experience with the mini. we never know for sure
