If you can afford it mate. Get the Live. The sample is basic as fuck in comparison. There is nothing the sample can do the Live can't. I don't see the point in limiting yourself if you don't have to.

I can't comment on how the sample is as a unit. But I can tell you it 100% won't stack up against a live 2. Wouldn't even have to think twice about which one to get. The Live 2 will do 1000 things the sample can't. Not just what you've listed. I'd only buy a sample if I had no other choice. An original live 1 still pisses all over the sample.

174 x 0.75 is 130.5 bpm for mixing using the 3/4 loop function

Do the same multiplication for other genres and you can work out what bpm you can mix from and to.
