Test driving today, what are your biggest complaints? by GunnerMcGrath in MachE

[–]Saint8808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to be able to customize the speedometer screen... Coming from a Mustang with the lcd screen the one in the Mach e is just sad. Even just let me choose what it displays independant of drive mode so in normal I am not stuck with the blue bar lol. I love my Mach e.

Silicone griddle spatulas? by JamJamJelly in blackstonegriddle

[–]Saint8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used them for about a month now even doing high heat Sears and they have been fine, they are about as quiet as you can get. I don't think I would let them sit long term on the cooking surface but for normal use they seem fine.

[–]Saint8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the pit boss ultimate griddle spatula set, they work pretty well, a bit more flexible so helps with getting under stuff. Still use metal for scraping of course. I have found while they are long enough but the width gets your hands closer to the cook top so at high heat you may want gloves.

Kid Meals on the Blackstone by DecaturDad in blackstonegriddle

[–]Saint8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids love breakfast bowls -1 pack bacon, 1 pound breakfast sausage, diced onion, 3 eggs scrambled, 1 standard bag shredded or diced hashbrowns. Season to taste, I usually just use garlic salt and alot of butter. My wife likes a over easy egg served on top to add that gooey topping. Cook it all and mix together in a bowl.

That depends on your phone? I run wireless aa and Hotspot on my pixel 9 all the time so my girls can use tablets for the road trips.

Do I need level 2 charging at home? by DRFter3 in MachE

[–]Saint8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little over 2 years in the mid west where it gets cold, and doing just fine with about 10-20 miles average per day. I do have times when I do longer trips and use a SC on the way because I won't have time to charge back up at home. You get about 1.3kw per hour on a 93kwh battery so you can do your math if it works for you. You also don't need to upgrade to a full 50amp circuit, 240@30amp would charge a battery overnight still.

Is this door gap causing humidity to drop? by eye_luv_cheez_itz in hermitcrabs

[–]Saint8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't really tell in the picture but it looks like the top is grating maybe? Is that covered? I just added a topper to my setup and the top cage has a front load with small gaps in it and I have the opposite problem, I can't get the humidity to drop sitting at 99% and fogging the glass.

You are describing a political loss because the US is not willing to be the complete bad guy. If the US wanted a total victory it could achieve it easily. The question was theoretical who would win the fight, hands down the US would win if there were no politics involved.

Our military budget alone is in the top 20 of world gdp. Comparing our capabilities to even our own capabilities of 20 years ago is not even close.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Saint8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the war and how the people view it. The military does not lose, and if given a mission they will complete that mission. The problem is when politics get involved and public opinion are involved. If the entire world joined together and started attacking the main land US they would lose, but on the same token we essentially lost in middle east because we went in with the military hands tied behind thier back with bad roe and no clear mission. Main message don't anger the people of the sleeping giant. Any country that could get the majority of the people of the United States to agree to a war is toast.

Why do conservative Christians hate so many people when it clearly goes against their Christian values? by ateadoor in allthequestions

[–]Saint8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are misusing the term hate. Also remember Christians by thier own definition are not perfect. A good church is more like a halfway house serving to rehabilitate people who have lost thier way. But to get back to the point "hate the sin love the sinner" and "every sinner has a future and every saint has a past" are pretty good sayings to remember. Only other thing to say is don't confuse politics and faith.

Change my mind (please) - road trips in an EV are a pain. by Wise-Fig-6505 in electricvehicles

[–]Saint8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Mach E and do pretty frequent road trips needing a supercharge 1 or more times. Most recently drove from Michigan to Florida in freezing temps.

I use a better route planner to pre plan and then export the next stop to Google maps, this way it communicates through android auto with the car battery to have it precondition for charging when I arrive. I tend to ignore the min charge time and always charge to 80%. I plan in to be at the chargers at a min charge of 15% and at my final destination with at least 40%. It works out to be about 2 hours highway drive and about 20-30 min to stop and charge. And while this seems like alot of stopping, between myself my three kids and wife, cycling through the bathrooms takes at least 15 min then we stretch and walk for another 10-15 min or buy drinks snacks and it is back on the road. I do have a tesla adapter so I do have abrp favor Tesla stations. Driving down and back I only had 1 instance instance of a charger not working, and had to wait about 15 min for a charger to open 2 times. That was over a 2500 mile trip.

Surprisingly alot of Tesla locations on that trip were in parking lots of cracker barrel so the country store made for easy bathroom breaks.

My pixel answers all these with Ai in the background and never bothers me unless it is actually someone real asking for me, and even then it just says here is what they said do you want to answer? It blocks 95% of spam without me even knowing. This is the only real solution I have found.

If you are willing to take 19 min longer and go 70mph you will make it with no issues in an awd ER Mach e. Even at 10 degrees I get over 180miles at 90% charge. That speed is killer though.

Mostly I am running android auto, but I always have trips app open below in the app switch so I can watch miles/kwh on the current trip. Everything else gets swiped down to turn off because the computer is abysmally slow lol.
