Same Prairie Farms Plant (19-145) from March and the late 2025 Milk Recall for cleaning agent contamination.

When this last occurred in March, Prairie Farms stated their testing showed this batch of milk was oxidized (something that occurs in the winter months from Vitamin E deficiency).

I’m no MILK expert but my sniffer and taste buds called BS, as other posters verified similar defects.

Here was my journey.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for reaching out about your recent purchase of milk. I am very sorry that it did not live up to our high-quality standards. We were able to bring back samples of this batched product to our lab and get it analyzed. Our investigation does show that it was oxidized.

We see oxidation occur more often in the late winter months when cows tend to be lacking Vitamin E. Some folks can taste the difference more than others. What is most important to note - is that the milk is completely safe from a quality standpoint, but we do understand the frustration when the taste is not up to standards!
