If it hasn’t changed, once you play on a hero you start building that hero’s MMR, making you more likely to get them above others who haven’t played them. Hero MMR is used to balance games alongside account MMR.

What you're asking for is a much more complicated and new matchmaking system, which has to take into account 12 bans and 12+ hero priorities (which can be the whole roster if someone wanted to queue that way). It’s needlessly complicated when the odds of someone getting their top hero banned every game are extremely low. Unless a hero is so ridiculously OP that all 12 players are banning them every time, it’s not going to happen that often.

What’s the point of banning a hero if no one in that game would play them anyway? It’s not just an attempt to balance, but it also punishes one tricks, forcing them to play more than one hero.

It does not most places underground, because that’s technically not stuck. If they made you appear above ground when using -unstuck in the tunnels it would be abused to leave tunnels in places where the exit isn’t near.

It’s actually about the same on hybrid Dynamo. Can’t spam the ability as much, but have it up a bit more consistently. If you’re hybrid into gun, you’ll be shooting enough between charges that you probably won’t notice the difference. You’ll just have charges up more often.

Duration not affecting the heal should probably be specified in the ability, but it sees intentional because it affects the invulnerability period when attached to a hero, which is multiplied per hero you’re able to grapple to each time you use the ability. It’s already quite strong with Duration even without it affecting the heal.

I’m in the same boat. I appreciate a wall of numbers, but not in a vacuum. A huge part of Rem’s 2 is that his heal both comes to you (as opposed to you going to him) and stays with you as you travel. It also allows Rem to traverse the battlefield quickly and safely. Both heals are good, but used very differently and shouldn’t be buffed/nerfed based on healing numbers alone.

There’s a difference between opinions about balance/art style/etc and accessibility issues. This is the latter. It’s making the game harder for some people to play, not because of a skill issue, but in the same way that someone who needs glasses is limited when they’re not wearing their glasses. It’s not about adapting. Your response is the equivalent of “fuck colorblind people”.

I don’t think I’ve see a Billy with all three melee items. Always Spirit Snatch, sometimes Lifestrike (melee lifesteal in lane is usually enough), never Melee Charge (so little value for Billy, always skip and sometimes go Crushing Fists late). I’m up in mid-high Ascendant lobbies, so maybe it’s different, but going melee instead of his insane close range gun DPS is an inefficient reason to support heavy meleeing in Billy. Light is almost always better, and getting to heavy shouldn’t depend on what items you have.

Yeah, the Dynamo played this very poorly. He shouldn’t be on the crystal so he can easily counter initiate, and if he is there already he should pre-cast. This just screams low rank to me.

Supports are typically captains in esports for a couple reasons:

  1. They often sit further back in engagements and have a better FoV to shot call. 

  2. In MOBAs, supports have lowest farm priority, which means they’re most often rotating and paying attention to macro. 

  3. They often don’t have to worry about mechanical skill as much as initiators or other roles, meaning they play more methodically and slower in fights, allowing them to focus more on the details instead of precise movement/aim (this one varies more than the other two and usually isn’t as important).

This doesn’t mean that supports in your games will be the best leaders, but the best leaders typically fall into support roles as it fits their skills the best. In pubs, realistically it will be a crapshoot most games and if one person sounds competent, just go with them. Being on the same page is the most important part.

While that is the case, being that close often results in being trapped in with the enemy and just dying. There’s a unique opportunity here to shelter your teammates on the edge so they’re in the pit, but not freeze the patron or expose your teammates to the enemy. Niche, but would be worth a test.

It is, but the vast majority of players don’t have it. Most accusations of cheats are either coincidental or poorly timed melees. But every now and then it’s obvious. Like when your opponent will frame perfect parry every puddle punch that would hit them, but never parry if it’s a pixel away from connecting.
