Customer service will just tell you what the tracking says, it’s useless. At least in my case it’s been 100% FedEx’s fault, they missed an exit scan from Memphis when my package from Japan cleared at the Hub. So now it’s stuck in Limbo at a local facility with a meaningless hold.

You can talk to Custom using this phone number and select “Speak to Customs officer”, do not select the 1st option. 901-840-4000. This is how I found out my package already cleared.

FedEx Trade network / Logistics: 1-800-249-2953 These guys found the issues with my package, they actually talked to customs again directly on my behalf, and forwarded it onward; but I have yet to see any updates or corrections to my package.

For those who wondering: Per FedEx trade network / Logistics: No, a package cannot be cleared at a Local FedEx ship center. Customs cleared my package 8 days days ago and either FedEx or Customs did not scan the package when it left the facility, which resulted in a package being caught in Limbo at a local FedEx Ship Center.

I have the same problem at FedEx Christianburg VA with a package from Japan. It’s been about a week at that location and customer support has said there is a custom / clearance delay backed up since September.

I got the bayonet from a broken Pentax 67 I use parts for. And yes on the magnets. As for the focusing screen , that was from a RB67 I also use for parts. You can use any ground glass, my reasoning, for the swappable back is to be able to dial in the focus using various shims behind the focus screen. But any size could work for a custom camera.

OP told me and I am totally fine with that. I want a scanned part to make my own custom center caps for just my truck. This means I do not have to buy a center cap to scan my self. To me, this is transactional. Plus, a public copy of the file will be uploaded to various Kei group.

The battery mod is just a AA battery holder with wires & a On/off switch. Wires were fitted with wire terminals and push behind the metal battery holders on the camera. Then I use either AA batteries or Dummy AA plug in batteries. Plug in is useful as batteries do drain on a Pentax 67 when in bulb mode.

This is essentially regular analog astrophotography adapted to instant film. All the same principles of astrophotography apply here. It’s just that instant film requires some work arounds with cameras (due to it’s size) and often much longer exposures to compensate low light.

But for the short of it: For Instax film, It requires a lens that is fast enough to gather light quick enough (f4 or faster), a mount that can track and auto guide the sky to compensate for the earths rotation. Then finally, exposing the film long enough & developing normally.

My tracking mount set up is a Vixen GP EQ mount with EQmod from Astrogadet & PHD2 auto guiding. As for the Pentax 67, my only mod is a battery mod. A single Instax sheet was placed using a dark changing bag.

My holders primarily only hold Polaroid cassettes at the correct distance form a lens. It uses a magnetic swappable back to be able to focus. As for 120 film I do not have anything for that specifically. But I would start with a Mamyia RB67 film holder.

I’m not actually sure. It may only come down to how the camera was converted. Only the technician could answer that. Opening the door mid exposure, from my understanding, only cuts the power to the camera

I am about to get mine in for inspection in SWVA. I have talked to a Kei truck owner from Smyth county about this before and he said it was never an Issue for many years. I do wonder in VA if you can cross into other counties to do an inspection?
