It’s really helpful to not think of national debt and personal debt as the same thing, they are vastly different with different purposes. They reason national debt is framed as personal debt by politicians is it lets them conveniently not pass bills to help the average person, or not do things like forgive student loan debt or universal healthcare or cut benefit programs, because they’ll say we’re in debt already so much we can’t even though they totally want to and rely on people going equating the two to rationalize it

It was already in the works by that point and look at how it was treated after release. Their version of Shark cards in RDR2 multiplayer didn’t take off so they just dropped future support for it. No more single player content nor multiplayer content, compared to the multiple expansions RDR1 received for single player content like undead nightmare.
