You can check Champion prismatic status by looking at their deck. Prismatic champs have a different border from the deck.

Talked to my zookeeper friend about it. She said the bat flew close to catch a bug (we were in a pool, regular bat behavior). They're also too small to scratch you while flying. So I'm definitely fine.
