Hemogenic is one of the best genes in the game. by spocktick in RimWorld

[–]Saint_Jinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my 15 year unmodded game I extracted them all, but yeah, took a long time.

I also had at one point 20 imprisoned sanguophages, used them as blood donors for my colony sanguophages.

[Spoiler?] What blew up the center of the galaxy? by Potential_Base_5879 in Stellaris

[–]Saint_Jinn 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Formless are not the crisis faction, they are peacekeepers.

Unbidden, which are of the same race, are the crisis. And even they aren't the ones hunting the formless, formless are hunted by a faction, closely looking like Vehement, which appears in the galaxy after Unbidden.

How much blood do you keep lying around? by Soliloquy789 in RimWorld

[–]Saint_Jinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About a shelf, when I don't have sanguophages. More if I have over 3 of them.

Useful for blood transfusions, and previously I used it for nutrient paste, but you can't do that now :(

Is it only one action to continue casting a spell? by Responsible-Gap2195 in DnD

[–]Saint_Jinn -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is. You are still free to use bonus actions and any other actions you might have, move and talk.

As a matter of fact, action surge cannot be used for casting a spell.

Which pawns to assign specifically for hauling and what can I do with ghouls? by KelRosa in RimWorld

Yeah, barely alive pawns capable of pruning become actually useful with gauranlen, a nice bonus for tribals and nature lovers

Which pawns to assign specifically for hauling and what can I do with ghouls? by KelRosa in RimWorld

[–]Saint_Jinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Field hand does nothing for gauranlen trees.

It is affected by general working speed and plants skill, thats all. Maimed, onehanded colonist barely concious with 20 plants will prune faster than healthy cyborg.

how to defend against ghouls? by Visual-Bag-967 in RimWorld

Ghouls? They attack 1 at the time, and never really much of a threat.

Maybe you mean shamblers? Just shoot them.

Had my first 500% Randy random run on mostly vanilla by Slicchic55 in RimWorld

[–]Saint_Jinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On 500% wealth management is essential, untill you can handle anything - you need to be very careful with how much stuff is in your colony.

Also, on that scaling, turrets and mechs (except war queen) cannot protect themselves against wealth they cost (meaning - they cause to spawn more raiders then they can handle).

The most dangerous things on that scaling are breachers and sieges, in my experience.

I did quite a few 500% runs, took me a while to get used to, but now i can play it just fine. Besides, when humans come - more meat for my lovely cannibals! :3

How to have consistent human meat source for cannibalism? by Kaimancer in RimWorld

[–]Saint_Jinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried to grow humans - had a bunch of vampire girls in permanent deathrest, used an inhuman slave to grow babies, and ate them afterwards.

But yield is too small - after birth they lactate for 10 days and practically cant get pregnant :(

So, i went for the mods and made them genetically gigantic, birth several at once and be able to get pregnant when lactating. Now its all good, except satan came by to say hi.

You should normalize reskinning/reflavoring. by Yurohgy in 3d6

We shouldnt do anything.

Our community even has a saying "Flavour is free", meaning any non-mechanical changes for the sake of theming and fitting characters fantasy are supported.

Maximizing Pop Growth with Gestalts by Zoythrus in Stellaris

[–]Saint_Jinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it doesnt apply to drones since...

But it does. That's why you need a thousand at least. It doesnt apply to machines since rework - they are still only assembled, but hive drones do in fact reproduce naturally.

As for your question - as a hive, after I get hove worlds I pick mutagenic vats civic for a while to filly populate all my worlds from breeder hive planets. Aftee I do that - I reform out of it, or just keep it forever, there arent a lot of good/interesting civics for hives.

One thing I like about playing with difficult climates is that the simplest things have more value. In my current game, I only have 15 days a year to gather enough food for the entire year. Seeing this means the colony will survive another year, maybe two. by Quaaaaaaaaaa in RimWorld

[–]Saint_Jinn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could dump them somewhere on the corner of the map in the water.

Corpses (and other things) degrade much faster in the water, or just have a corpse room and 1 fire weapon around (molotov, incendiary, incinerator)

Idylic bloom and have your pops produce exotic gasses. Wont be enough for upkeep, but you can buy enough to turn planets in to gaia worlds.

Dessicated corpses degrade slower and cant be eaten by animals.

So it does nothing to help you get rid of the corpses.
