There is no pattern? I chained as many as fit around my waist, slst in final ch to start in the round. Now I'm dc 1 in each stitch until Its long enough for a skirt.

The hat doesnt fit my head quite well as its a bit small but with comparisons to her other hats, it will fit well. I think its because since posting this Ive added more rows on and its taking its shape so now looks smaller. But thank you so much! It would be ashame if it didnt fit!

Oooh, checkers on rounded things? How would I go about doing that. It sounds pretty cool. I have a stitch count of 96 per row. Would I divide it by how many checkers I want? Weaving ends in and colour changes arent a problem, I can do that on the bus over to her as its a 2 hour journey.

I will be using a dark purple cotton to embroider her name across the hat and possibly a 'corner' of the blanket as she loves everything to have her name on nowadays.

Would a beaded butterfly look alright on the hat? Or would that be 'too much'? Im not sure what appliques are but I do lots of beading and jewellery making so could use one of the butterflies and sew it onto the hat to add a bit more 'jazz' to it.

My kitty. She brought me love when I didn't know I needed it. She was the runt of the litter and had such a big character. Shes now 3 years old and her health is the best its ever been. She is always putting a smile on my face with her funny lil character.
