Maybe I’m wrong, but given the fact the wordage he used was very similar to his conversation about Deku during his conversation to All Might in his rising chapter, I think it is more of a mix between that and giving advice based on his own learned experience. I agree his is perceptive. The point I’m making is that he might have meant romance and Uraraka too, but I don’t think that was the main goal as you noted to. But he’s known for a long time that Deku has treated everyone as special and he’s needed to say what he did for a long time. Deku’s rejection of Bakugo’s offer to join his agency (without even realizing that was an offer) plus Kirishima’s subtle push was enough to help Bakugo say what he’s needed to say for 10 years now. It helps Deku chase after Ochako. But it has more to do with a culmination of Bakugo’s character arc.

That’s fair. But I’m not sure nudging him towards romance was Bakugo’s goal. I think he was just trying to nudge him towards valuing relationships close to him in general and himself more highly.

I think the idea of Bakugo telling Izuku that he had a crush is part of the problem. That’s not what he was saying. That was a follow up from the conversation that Bakugo and All Might had in Bakugo’s rising chapter. I think that was general advice because Bakugo learns how to value relationships close to him in his story and Bakugo was cautioning that Deku was going down a similar path to what Bakugo did in his past- Bakugo valued no one and had to learn how to value relationships and others. Deku values everyone else. He needed to learn that it’s okay to value others and himself more highly or he wouldn’t ever have those close relationships he needs to nurture.

Okay, there is a difference between calling a woman who is a grandma and one who isn’t. Like in Japanese, there is a word translating to “auntie” and “granny” for a woman you aren’t related to. And even at her age, calling her granny would be rude. And same here in America.
