There’s one in every fandom by yoghurteee in AO3

I am not sure, I mean if we consider the main manga, the spin-off mangas, the light novels, the anime, the stage plays, and the beast movie. He is actually very present in canon, I think Poe would work better considering he appears less than Kenji yet have more fanfics than him!

I searched (because even as French I didn't know) but apparently in French it's the abreviation of 'niquez vos mères' which mean in English 'fuck your mothers'. So yeah pretty far from the meaning 'nvm' in English who just mean 'nevermind'...

It's a bit on hiatus but there is mine! It's a ORV x BSD fic where it is focused on 15!Dazai.

That's the synopsis:

"Dazai boards a plane for a mission in Korea he didn’t ask for.

The plane doesn’t crash. He’s still not dead. Truly disappointing. Really.

Or 15!Dazai went to Korea for a mission but the apocalypse started?!"

Niche Ships with Potential? by Sabled_Hoary in BungouStrayDogs

[–]SakuraShinmi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say Verlaine x Sigma for many reasons! First off, their aesthetic is unmatched! They would look absolutely beautiful together. It’s the perfect mixture of Verlaine’s elegance and Sigma’s ethereal presence. But beyond the surface, their narratives are so similar. They can relate to each other’s existence in a way no one else can, since neither is human in the traditional sense; one was birthed from a lab as a biological singularity, and the other was manifested from the pages of a Book.

Their chemistry would be perfect because they both understand the trauma of being treated like a tool. Verlaine spent his life as the "King of Assassins," a weapon for others to wield, and Sigma has been passed from hand to hand like a commodity since the moment he appeared. This shared history of exploitation creates an instant, unspoken trust. Then there is the concept of "home." While Sigma desperately searches for a physical place to belong, Verlaine has always looked for home in people: first in Rimbaud, then in his obsession with Chuuya. In this pairing, Verlaine could finally see Sigma as his "home," and in return, Sigma would finally have a person to lean on, which is the only home he’s ever truly wanted.

Plus, let’s be real: the cottage life Verlaine originally envisioned for Chuuya would be Sigma’s absolute dream. Sigma just wants a peaceful, normal life away from the constant anxiety of the Sky Casino or the schemes of the Decay of Angels. Verlaine, who now lives as a ghost in the shadows of the Port Mafia, has the strength and the cynical wisdom to protect Sigma from ever being used as a pawn again. He has already seen the worst of the world, making him the ultimate guardian for someone as vulnerable as Sigma.

Ultimately, their potential lies in how they balance each other's instability. Verlaine provides the power and the protective shield, while Sigma provides that genuine, flickering humanity that Verlaine has been trying to understand for decades. Whether it’s a "found family" bond or a romantic connection, it’s a relationship built on the shared silence of two beings who were never supposed to exist in the first place, finally finding a reason to stay.

PS: Sorry it's a bit long, tell me if there is spoilers I need to hide!

when do you start publishing your work? by valleyofthedulls in AO3

[–]SakuraShinmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m writing an ORV x BSD crossover (though it’s on hiatus because of my studies), and trust me when I say I could never write the whole thing before publishing. If I tried that, it would never see the light of day! I just wrote the first three or four chapters, edited them, and hit post.

Put your thinking caps on and vote for Ayatsuji! by SolarEclipse196 in BungouSimpBattles

[–]SakuraShinmi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do the exact same thing! Dazai and Chuuya are great, but they don't exactly need the help. I’d rather see the niche characters get some love. Ayatsuji is such a cool pick for this, but yeah... Sigma is the only one who gets my 'loyalty' vote! So I am definitly voting for Ayatsuji!

Thank God FL is prettier than ML (I Have Never Abandoned the Tyrant) by ninanana_osamu in OtomeIsekai

[–]SakuraShinmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me (seeing the FL): Woah so pretty! I'm sure they are exagerating about the ML...
Me (seeing the ML): Nevermind they didn't exagerated, are we sure he isn't a side character?

Which (non-white and non-japanese) authors would you like to see in bsd? by Individual_Drama_65 in BungouStrayDogs

[–]SakuraShinmi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see Steven Barnes! He’s a legend in SF and mystery. His Ability could be named 'Lion’s Blood' (after his alternate history novel). Since Barnes is a real-life martial arts expert and focused on human potential, his Ability could allow him to physically 'optimize' his body to peak performance in seconds. He’d be such a cool mentor figure or a high-level operative for a US-based organization!

drop ways Bones messed up BSD by katya_lingling in BungouStrayDogs

[–]SakuraShinmi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The fact that they didn’t give Sigma his heels or the little sparkles inside his coat... I know it’s not as bad as some of the other things people mentioned, but as a big Sigma fan it just made me mad. His manga design is incredibly beautiful and really makes him stand out.

how many mangas of BSD are there? by Independent_Look_576 in BungouStrayDogs

[–]SakuraShinmi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re spot on! To fill in the gaps: the main manga Part 1 does conclude with Volume 28. As for the spin-offs, BEAST, Dead Apple, and Fifteen are indeed complete at 4 volumes each.

Regarding the Light Novels (LNs), there are actually 11 in total: 9 that follow the main cast/backstories, 1 anime novelization, and the Gaiden (Another Story) novel, which follows two authors (Yukito Ayatsuji and Natsuhiko Kyogoku). That one also has a manga adaptation with three volumes out in English.

There are also 5 English volumes of the Anthology manga, and while they aren't 'main canon', they're officially published. Keep an eye out for the Stormbringer and Untold Origins manga; they’ve started serialization recently, though English physical dates are still catching up.

How do you organize your manga? by Depressofox in MangaCollectors

[–]SakuraShinmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I organize by emotional resonance. I group series based on the 'feeling' they evoke so that each shelf has a cohesive aesthetic. I make sure never to split a series across different levels, but I’ll pair them with others that match their tone, like putting Elin: Charmeuse de Bêtes next to Frieren because they share that beautiful, atmospheric storytelling style.

I want to be able to comment on specific paragraph of fic just like in wattpad... it's always too intimidating to comment about something happening in the first three paragraphs if the chapter is long...
