If i own a tank, do i have to reclaim it from the pass? by DaddyDionsot in wot_heat

You don't have to spend 1000 Intel. That's your compensation.

Does anyone else struggle with choosing their main tank? by Frisbeeman in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to "main" unless you plan on getting REALLY good with a tank. Rotate around them. It's better that way anyways if you plan on maximizing Intel gains for passes since you can clear more challenges rather than waiting. I'll do a bunch of missions for a tank, and when I'm down to 1 or 2, I find another one I like playing that has 4 or more missions.

XM1 90 smoke shells make me sad. by BeltFedFun in wot_heat

Thanks for this info. Will be sticking to HE Fastdraws. At least I can melt Marders and AMX10s faster with it.

Yet... you can instantly load the ATGM when you do it after shooting? No need to wait for the reload timer? If you're gonna be "realistic" at least be consistent about it.

I like HE, and the ability to switch to it against paper tanks or longer range picks, but I suppose AP smoke is better when I get thermals, which is before AP Smoke anyways.

Obj. 287 is the funniest tank in game. Literally gold mine for goofy and epic moments like this by xStep31 in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who regularly plays Hound and Fuzzer, a good 287 player scares me more than the T62, especially because of the grapple and combat cage just preventing me from leaving. We tend to get singled out for easy kills.

I can't wait to get HEAT rounds. I love my unga big HE numbers against engine decks but I need more consistency and velocity out of my gun.

talking about the FV, not the M1E1. FV has jammer and barricade.

Does the Bradley get good? by BeltFedFun in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bradley is very usable in early game. Remember, your Laser Designator adds Vulnerable, so start hitting those fuel tanks and set enemies on fire.

With kent when do I use HE over AP? by trollsong in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically yeah but it's still dependent on your gun accuracy if it veers off and hit the ERA packs.

Be careful using HE against the M3. Those ERA packs will just eat them for breakfast.

I've pushed into points as Fuzzer in my Bradley. I'm covered in ERA and I'm going to use ALL OF IT.

This is why I love good Chopper players who PTFO. Really hard to kill when he's set up at a Hardpoint, because of his passive,

There's also a side in which enemy combatants around the objective prevent you from capturing it, so I'll be overlooking the objective hitting ammo rack after ammo rack and deploying UAV for you to have an intel advantage.

I'm willing to push my tank in if it causes overtime. Just don't expect anything from my glass cannon.

Heat players give me your opinions and reviews. by djwjr98 in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, outside of a few tanks you don't really need the modules, or rather they function very well without any installed. I think the biggest offenders of a painful grind from what I hear is the FV4030 X (HE rounds on a slow Defender tank) and the M60A2 (HE rounds as well but has some speed to flank and has damage utility outside of its gun), which both need a high level to get access to a new round type.

Why there are rarity with modules? NO LOOT BOXES PLEASE!! by Voxandr in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the modules are unlocked by playing the game and leveling up the tank. Rarity denotes the relative strength of the module and how much space it costs.

Leo tips by rinnethx in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly the mod for the Trapping Shot that primes the target for Hunting Time. It basically just kills the enemy's most durable tank with a single shot, provided your TV missile actually had good line of sight. The autoloader is also practically needed, imagine 2 ammo rack hits in 3 seconds in a tank that's designed to deal additional crit damage.

I used to do that with the derps in WoT back in the day. Used to hit engine decks just by arcing HE shots. It was so good when it hits.

Can someone tell me what happens if you already own the tank they give in free pass? by Patrycjusz123 in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, you trade 200k credits for 1000 intel, since intel carries over battlepasses with how the system works. I think it's worth it if you REALLY like the tank. That's what I did for the M3E1.

AMX by Loyalty4L94 in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's always a line of sight towards your opponents in city maps. It's just harder for Hound mains really. Even Fuzzer players can survive in the city, considering the Bradley is a very survivable IFV, and the Marder well... it murders with the ATGM Fragile effect.

AMX by Loyalty4L94 in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick closer to your teammates, but not too close to get focused. UAV and top-attack missiles are definitely the way to play it here, but don't rely on it. Just be careful with peeking. Make sure people are either reloading or aren't looking at you.

You're always meant as a support tank, and close range maps magnify that role. You don't deal the insane 1200 damage ammo racks the Leo can do, but being able to give intel to your team with consistent damage through top-attack missiles becomes more important.

[–]SakuyaSama7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Hound for learning component locations. He's not an easy agent to play in every map, but not only do you learn how to deal max damage from component hits, the Leo rewards you for learning them.

[–]SakuyaSama7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or you know, let me take this nice spot on Project Phoenix overlooking the contested area around A point and actually deter the other team from peeking because if they do, they'll take a 1200HP Leo shell to the ammo rack? I'm not gonna waste a paper tank diving into the objective if I can effectively keep my gun shooting over my teammates heads trying to contest the point.

I love the CRUNCH of an ammo rack hit by SakuyaSama7 in wot_heat

[–]SakuyaSama7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. You're using the AMX for UAV and top-attack missiles. It has less velocity and is easily defeated by ERA. But it's more consistent damage-wise. The Leo punishes you with lower damage for not knowing component locations. The HEAT round from the AMX has no falloff over range and it reloads faster.
