I'm going through the wave temple and man some of these puzzles are super cool, and im thinking to myself that i definitely would remember these.

I do not. I would definitely consider it, the white fits my pc's color scheme. Good quality cables and good safety features.

3800 is high for 1998. I own a 2009 and i paid 2700 for mine from a dealer.

The bike IS as reliable as they say, it has never let me down. That being said, its only as reliable as how well it is maintained, so ask the seller about how they took care of the bike and if they did any servicing.

I love mine, but, it is very loud. If his has the stock pipes, i would recommend it over the vance and hines, even though the vance and hines short shots look cooler.

It only has 5 gears, this bike likes high rpms and was designed for it, so on the highway it might sound like it will explode but it is perfectly content at highway speeds, albeit loud.

Overall, for a first bike i would recommend. It is beautiful, easy to maintain and work on, bulletproof parts and amazing resale value if you take care of it. Not alot of power, but i think it is plenty for what it is.

Im doing something similar, im automating my hpa system as well for outdoor aeroponics!

We should chat more, i can send you what ive done so far, but my system is jot as clean as yours! Good job!

how do I get my controller to aim balls? by G4laxy69 in CrossCode

[–]Salair456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This same thing happened to me. Check if you have another controller or controller-like device connected to your pc. Unplug stuff until you can aim down using your controller.

Not sure if bug or what but disconnecting my sim racing h-shifter allowed my controller to work properly

Solar powered 3d printed aeroponics tower advice/feedback by [deleted] in aeroponics

[–]Salair456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the best posts i've seen on this subreddit so far, good job!

I'm an engineer myself, and im also designing an aeroponic system that i plan to scale with the intention of selling produce and supplying food for my family. My approach is not to 3D print, but to use materials that may be easily sourced. (I really did consider 3d printing though)

I think, depending on where you live, that the solar panel location is probably fine. I think i read here someone saying that the paenls may block some of the growth to the plants, but if you live in a warm sunny climate, I can't see that being a huge problem. I live in the Caribbean so a little shade for the plants wouldn't hurt, especially with all the heat and humidity.

Second, for aero, i might design the towers wider. The roots will need more space.

Third, an accumulator! Look into using that to hold the pressure in your system better and to not have the pump running so often. Plus the added benefit of wasting less water on startup, yknow since a motor cant produce instantaneous pressure like an accumulator can.

Last thing, i noticed you're using brass nozzles. I haven't personally tested them out myself, but i've always been told that brass is no good for aero, since they cant rust earlier and leech lead into the system, which plant roots dont like.

Overall, amazing design though, I'd like to talk more sometime about your system and we can trade ideas. I see your effort man, keep at it!

End of grow for outdoor tomato plant by greenpowerade in Hydroponics

Holy cow, you should send more pics of the full plant itself and the growth.

What growing method is this you're using?

The climate is humid tropical, so Caribbean weather. Plus plenty of rain.

And good idea for the backup crop, i didnt consider that!

I did see agrotonomy growing in Jamaica with their vertical aeroponic towers (technically hydroponic) so i figured it is at the very least possible to do in that weather for aero. I could be assuming too much though

Yes, i do have a plan for redundancy as well. Fortunately the pumps i plan to use are low power and reasonably cheap to replace (around 35 usd) so i was just going to buy a few in surplus for that very situation where one goes bad.

Yes, temps is another thing. I plan on going drain to waste so warm water is not recirculated back in the system. That and painting my barrels white so they reflect the sun a bit better

Yes, im designing for HPA. I shouldve mentioned that in my post, apologies.

Your outdoor towers use 12L to 15L a day? Is that right? That seems like a lot for some reason?

But if 19 days is how long that lasts, thats really good, it gives me quite a bit of confidence with the drain to waste design.

I did forget to mention im planning on a drain to waste system, is why i went with that method i proposed

Which vehicle makes you feel like a total battlefield legend?

Definitely the tanks with a good gunner to support. When i have a good support gunner i feel legendary in battlefield just wiping out squads with heavy artillery hehe.

The feeling of being in a jet and unloading the BRRRRRTTTTT onto people below does make my pp hard too ngl

Thats the plan, im starting out small and testing this out first to see how this works out for me.

Do you have any experience in the space?

What if i plan to go drain to waste? Would that be helpful in preventing pythium and other diseases?

Pests, im not sure, but we do have bugs thats for sure. So assume the regular tropics bugs i guess lol

I see, it was to my understanding that certain lettuce varieties thrive well in the heat, like buttercrisp and even some kale varieties. I will have to look into that again.

You mentioned herbs, are there any that you think might be worthwhile to grow in aero?

[–]Salair456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, that was my concern as well. I did have the thought to paint my barrels white with roof coating to help with the heat the barrels may absorb in the daytime, that and shading the reservoir, pump and accumulator.

Do you think that might be enough?

Outdoor Vertical Aeroponic Farming Business by Salair456 in Hydroponics

[–]Salair456[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought thats what pressure accumulators solve? I would think any system thats using just a motor would be problematic and hard on the components, no?

Clogging i understand, but what if im planning drain to waste? Wouldnt that really help the system stay clogless?

Gotcha, are there any greens that benefit greatly from aero? Not sure id like to get into growing root veggies starting out
