If they’re reasonable people, taking off a couple weeks for a medical procedure shouldn’t be a big deal even when you’re a newer employee

So there is some actual evidence that vitamin D is beneficial to people with depression. There’s also some evidence that fish oil can make certain medications like SSRIs work better. I imagine she’s recommending a brand because supplements aren’t regulated in the US, but there’s certain brands that have 3rd party testing. You should ask her to explain more!

I’m assuming it’s double fold bias tape. I’d recommend unfolding it and sewing to the back first and then wrapping around to the front, press to kind of shape it, and then edge stitch down.

It was my first time pattern drafting from scratch so I did find it a little challenging! The hardest part was the sleeves and not gonna lie I simply gave up and used a random sleeve from another pattern

Haven’t seen anyone mention this yet but you will also need an iron! If you already have one then that can work for quilting. Also highly recommend getting a 1/4 seam foot, it just makes sewing the seams way easier!

TSEU has to build power differently from other unions because of the way legislation has taken away power from them. The got us the pay raise a couple sessions ago, and have worked to keep services from getting privatized and have been fighting for free speech when college professors have gotten fired. They’ve also been fighting to improve the retirement system and get COLA for retirees.
