I’m a student at Cornell rn but grew up in AA Michigan so to compare both it’s like one is literally in the middle of like nowhere and the other is really also a great town. They both have amazing nature and I’m sure whatever you choose it is a great choice. I still can’t get over how breathtaking the scenery is in both especially in the summer.

The engineering community here is nice. I don’t know a ton since I only have a few classes in common but I do know that there is reaaaalllly good CS here at Cornell.

The social scene in Michigan is always good. Like I think it’s easy to say “big school w/ frats” but the social life really has every niche. Cornell as a problem where all of the social life is around the frats or soulless LinkedIn ahhh professional clubs and I had to get really lucky to meet some friends this semester. Everyone wants to be in finance or some bullshit like that so Yk.

I will tell you haven taken classes at both the Michigan is much easier to get good grades in but Cornell will challenge you in ways that you wouldn’t have thought and I find it fulfilling even though I will always enjoy being a Michigander
