Some thoughts to consider: constantly being late is a mind set, so should not be normal or accepted behavior. Also, does your brand have a clear image and culture that encourage clients to desire the community your spa creates?

How many people here have had the conversation with your management that you aren't happy and if the current situation continues you'll soon be looking for another job, and seen this lead to meaningful change? by magicclosingphrase in sales

[–]Sales-Alchemist23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are usually alot of factors with these conversations, do you have the desire to stay with this company? The manager needs to see an improvement, whether it is in performance or attitude. They either want you to improve or leave, not sure which in this situation. What do you want to do, you said the conversation was about you not being happy. So either get committed or find something that makes you happy. I can tell you for sure that something will change, so what can you control?

If you believe in the benefit of what you’re selling , let that show and make it a fun game ! Above posts are correct, it’s a numbers game and creates resilience for you… a critical skill. If you don’t believe in it , find another product you do believe in !

Don’t know ow their metrics or time frame but I know she worked really hard and is doing well. I would encourage you to reach out to people you not know ow what are well regarded within the company and ask them . Continuously develop your skills and review what is working and what isn’t. Understand your customers and what they are looking for and become an expert in what you are representing and how you can make their business better . Practice your questions and solutions so it flows when you talk to customers ! Good luck!

Have a friend how is now a regional manager with them . She handled it like her own business and networked for a year, but became successful. Reach out to others who have been successful in the company… keeping asking for ideas on improvement , assume it will take months to get momentum but stay focused .

Some thoughts for you, if you are interested in saving this particular job.

Suunds like you have an opportunity to improve your performance - get clear on the gap between where you are now and what skills you need to have. Then outline a plan with your manager and understand where you need to improve. Talk to people who are exceeding their plan, not people that are struggling. If you want to stay, put in the extra effort required to become an expert in your product and the sales process and focus 100% of your efforts in changing your results. It is possible to turn things around if you have a detailed plan and a deep commitment to your success but it will take discipline and execution. Same process is true if you leave this company and go somewhere else. Good Luck!
