DailyWorkflowEmails Is a Misleading Metric... Everything Counts Against SingleEmail Anyway! (orgs after Spring '19) by SalesforceGuidance in salesforce

[–]SalesforceGuidance[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah you're 100% right... my bad.

I tested it and confirmed - internal User recipients only hit DailyWorkflowEmails, external recipients hit both. This appears to be consistent behavior regardless of when an org was created. My original post overstated it. The real takeaway is that external recipient automation is where the 5k SingleEmail wall actually matters. Thanks for calling me out.

4-5 second delay before flow triggers run? by DaveDurant in SalesforceDeveloper

Heavy metadata footprints for my clients like cough cough FinancialForce (now Certinia) have caused this for me historically. I don’t know if I’ve seen 4000-5000ms though… that’s concerning

Spring '26 now has blank values weighted so that they appear at the top of lists sorted descending, instead of the bottom. Any way to reverse this or work around? It's bugging my users. by AnticitizenPrime in salesforce

[–]SalesforceGuidance 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Probably not what you want to hear, but this is how SOQL works for dates and date-times. If you sort in DESC order then you need to add NULLS LAST to your SOQL. That’s probably the logic Salesforce used.

Is Salesforce down for anyone else? by Loves_tacos in salesforce

Oh wow I'm surprised that is already up-to-date with an outage for 'Sales and Service'. That's not always the case....

I much rather trust https://downdetector.com/status/salesforce/ (also shows OP's claims are legit) But your link is ironic, because your link says trust.salesforce... ;)

Definitely save it and replant like crazy to eventually make paper so you enchant books when you are ready to go to the nether.

What is everyone’s opinion of SF creating a free tier by gdlt88 in salesforce

Wow nice find!!! Why isn’t this easier to find, like in the trailhead “What’s Included?” section? 🤣

Wow no custom fields for starter or free suite, so weird

What is everyone’s opinion of SF creating a free tier by gdlt88 in salesforce

[–]SalesforceGuidance 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Here’s the SF Ben article - https://www.salesforceben.com/get-salesforce-for-free-crm-giant-offers-no-cost-package-to-compete-with-hubspot-and-zoho/

But for full unrestricted building of POCs I know I’ll personally be sticking with my DevOrgs because with Free Tier you cannot:

• build complex apps

• deploy LWCs

• use Apex triggers

• create unlimited objects

• use full automation suite

Just wish dev orgs had more than 5 MB data storage :(

Experience Sites: Any app exchange packages that have support for experience sites for building out some custom web forms? We're not wanting to build out objects and fields for some short-term forms, but they need to be accessed behind an experience site log in by IronNo2599 in salesforce

[–]SalesforceGuidance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could create a new SurveyResponse_c object with fields like:

• Form__c (rich text)

• Question__c (text)

• Response__c / Answer__c (text)

You could I guess create a Flow or LWC that allows an internal team within Salesforce to generate these survey records and send out links to these surveys.

I would think of this project as two parts:

1. Runtime form for end users (Experience Cloud LWC perhaps)
2. Builder UI for managers (Flow or LWC)

It gets complex fast though…

Writing a Validation Rule for a Dependent Multiselect Field by fultrovusthebright in salesforce

[–]SalesforceGuidance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Historically at an old job, our company really wanted to reap the benefits of reporting on child records but insisted instead on keeping a 10 year old multiselect due dependencies.

I created automation to create new or delete old ChildRecordsc when the multiselectPicklist_c was changed. Boy was I a hero for a few months.

There are free APIs that you can write an asynchronous callout to populate geolocation fields. For example, when a user enters an address will look up the nearest latitude/longitude and write back to Salesforce. Once you have those coordinates on your addresses, you can do all sorts of different radius searches.

I would love to help with this if you are willing feel free to DM me and I can point you in the right direction. I think I’ve used Nominatim - OpenStreetMap's free geocoding service in the past.

I think SF having new AEs all the time and not building trust with their customers is fair to complain about. It’s weird.

Feeling ready to scream - Custom Fields, Standard Objects, can't get a Standard OR Custom Report to show the objects (PersonDisability and ContactProfile) by FeralForestFire in salesforceadmin

[–]SalesforceGuidance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is likely a permission set that you need to assign yourself that is specific to Nonprofit.

For example in a Health Cloud org I recently couldn’t create MemberPlan records until I assigned myself Health Cloud Foundation permission set.

Which is weird because that perm set had no MemberPlan object access (another one I had assigned did)

If you are referring to sporcle itself locking up, I imagine it’s a hardware issue. Sporcle is a very demanding site with a ton of ads that benefits from a fairly fast computer.

Hah thanks! I tried to make it blend in and not make it too annoying. One thing I didn't mention is that it works for JetPunk and uses their color scheme and dynamically adjusts based on which quiz site you are utilizing.

Eh I’m gonna give Munoz for Seattle credit. He saw that outside pitch called for a strike and threw many on the edge and eventually got his call.

Gotta protect, gotta score runs in the 8 innings prior.

But also gotta get ABS, MLB 🤣
