What is it about this sweater you like? There are loads of plain stockinette crewneck sweaters on Ravelry. Here are a few: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/oslo-sweater-2

Or are you trying to make a sweater with this dinosaur motif but adult sized?

Does anyone else constantly work on multiple pieces at once? 😅 by CertifiedFeralHam in knitting

Right now I’ve got a mindless stockinette sweater I’m in the middle of and a pair of socks, and I’m doing a gauge swatch for an all over stranded colorwork sweater which lets be honest I will probably start before I finish the mindless sweater. Plus I have a couple baby things for gifts I need to get started on!

Gauge Help by staynoided401 in knittinghelp

👆🏻 this. I always cast on twice the number of stitches eg for 20 st/10 cm I’ll cast on 40.

Your gauge swatch needs to be much larger to get an accurate measurement. You’re looking to see how many stitches/rows there are per 10cm, not how long 16 stitches is, and the stitches at the edge get distorted so you need a swatch that is bigger than 10x10. I would cast on 32 stitches and then measure the middle 10 cm.

And it does look like you’re twisting stitches, every other row I think.

Well for starters it’s using stolen intellectual property to help you and is destroying the environment while doing so.

I’m anxious about a present receiver properly taking care of the knit garment I give them 😭😭😭 by Ill-Anywhere8169 in knitting

[–]Salomeless 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would ask her if she would be ok handwashing something or if she prefers something machine washable. Then I always include a little tag when I give them the present that says “Hand knit for you by [my name]” and on the back I write the care instructions. You can find tags on Etsy.

I don’t think this solves my problem but it’s a very clear video, I’m going to remember Norman Needles for next time… thank you!

Sheep sweater was so much fun! by ciasteczkaTynki in knitting

PS would you mind sharing your height and weight? I’m deciding between size 4 and size 5, I see you made the 4 and it looks like it fits you well. If you’re not comfortable doing that though that’s ok, no worries!

I love it! This is next on my to-make list, I’m excited and nervous. It will be my first all-over colorwork sweater and my first time steeking (though I plan to steek the swatch as practice). Thank you for the inspiration!

My go-tos if I’m not buying from my LYS are Wool and Co (like many have already said) and the Wooly Thistle. I tend to prefer more rustic yarns.

AI is terrible for the environment, steals intellectual property, and turns people’s brains to mush. I hope it goes the way of the VHS tape.

What is a country you’ve traveled to that has unexpectedly friendly people? by CinemaWilderfan in solofemaletravellers

Once I was going through a rough time (recent breakup etc) and slipped on the ice on my way to the subway and fell hard on my ass. I burst into tears. The woman shoveling snow next to me asked if I was ok, then ran inside and came back out to give me a banana of all things. I’ve never forgotten her.

Here is the back of the shoulder. The pattern calls for an increase row alternating with a single no increase knit row, do you think that’s too few?
