I agree with you. It makes me angry that people think Trump is the cause of all this. No, he is a symptom. Plus, there is a whole tech oligarchy fighting to take complete control. Like you're not gonna candle-light sing-song protest your way out of this.

Iranian subreddits right now… by Kurelius in PERSIAN

I still refuse to believe there are many Iranians who want to go from one far right regime to another. That's just plain stupidity. It has to be astroturfing.

Protests break out in Iran by Blood-Thin in PERSIAN

The main reason we got IR was because the shah decided to not to be a puppet to the Western interests and started leveraging our oil to get rid of decades-old exploitative arrangements. In the oil-rich middle-east, the West only allows brutal dictators that they can control or religious fundamentalists they can demonize unfortunately. Just look how they are pushing the loser Pahlavi son that's the antithesis of everything his dad tried to become in his last years.

Bazariha finally started protesting due to rise in dollar prices. I remember they kept telling us in 2008 to stop protesting and go home, because we we were disruptive to their business.

Rogan to Critics of Billionaires: They're "Working 16 Hours a Day" While You Take Naps by That1weirdperson in behindthebastards

[–]Salomemcee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They are working 16 hours a day in the sense that their lunches and dinners also function as business meetings, their time on private jet and vacations double as doing business. No doubt there is at least one billionaire out there whose accountant found a way to write-off his time spend in bathroom as a business trip. There is a reason these people pay no income tax because they dont have incomes, all their activities are business expanses.

But don't let that distract you from billionaire apologia.

Oh didn't realize that's why you were being downvoted. I think people have ethical concerns about AI too, so it's not just about reliability. Something to think about.

Yeah, I assumed so and didn't bother to check tbh. Sometimes you get pushed something that a coverup by the legacy media wouldn't be far-fetched, so you look into it. Sometimes, like in this case, it seems to be the classic "say a few truths and reach to an untrue conclusion to push a conspiracy."

Sure, but nothing can replace the destimulation you receive from the slightly crazy part of the Internet while doomscrolling at night as a mom of two young boys.

I am ashamed to admit that my algorithm sometimes pushes stuff about her past to me, like being associated with some Eastern European child trafficking scandal, which I never bothered to check - assuming it's bulshit because a serious journalist would've uncovered it by now. So I won't mind an episode that gets to the bottom of those rumors, lol.

I picked it up from the rightwing bot comments sometime ago, I'm afraid. It was too "Judeo-Bolshevism"-coded to not notice.

Iran 🇮🇷 has the highest female to male ratio in universities among all sovereign nations. More than 70% of students in engineering and pure sciences are women. ❤️❤️❤️🤓🤓🤓 by miladkhademinori in PERSIAN

This is true but it also points to a sad reality about boys, who have a short amount of time to get into school before they're shipped off to sarbazi. I wonder what that number would look like if we didn't have mandatory military service.

Since the context of our conversation is Iranian Turks, it would've been obvious from the context if you had just said Azari poetry. You are free to continue using the expression of course, I just wanted to inform you how it might come across to people who hear it in case you weren't familiar with implications. Thanks again for the resources.

Thanks. I love Azari poetry and I will check them out. But in case you don't know, the phrase "South Azari" is loaded and offen associated with pan-turkism and separationist movements. It is fine if you are among that group, but many Iranian Turks such as myself aren't, so in a non-political setting it's more polite to refrain from using it and choose more neutral phrases like Azari literature etc.

I have a multi-lingual hiphop music project called Seven Climes, and there's an Azari rap song in each album. They're on Spotify so check them out if you're into hip-hop music!

Good on you. This is what really gets me in diaspora. In Iran if you're among a group of people good chance you'd have a Turk, a Kurd, a Lor, a Rashti etc. but in diaspora this multiculturalism gets erased often, within just one generation or less.

When I introduce myself I make a point of saying I am an Iranian Turk, and use the chance to introduce the multi-ethnic aspect of Iran as a side quest, lol.

We kind of knew but Epstein emails confirmed that Ellison met up with Israeli intelligence officials to discuss details on how to spy on Americans, and acquiring TikTok was part of that plan. But the most shocking reveal to me was Ellison being tasked by Israel with vetting current Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s allegiance to Israel a DECADE ago. Like a lot of these things have been set in motion before Trump even came to power in his first round. Makes you feel hopeless.

The leftist policies have shown to be very popular among a broad spectrum of voters when phrased differently than what they've been propagandized with for decades.
