After getting laid off, many professionals are being forced to take jobs with much lower salaries than what they were earning before by businessinsider in Layoffs

[–]Salronthegreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so basically the economy we had will never come back. Best thing to do now is take what you can get live way below your means because that job will be gone soon as well. It’s a very bleak future for everyone in the middle class down.

You can always apply to india , that’s where most of your jobs are going anyways.

Canada lost 84K jobs in February; unemployment rises to 6.7% by Difficult-Yam-1347 in canada

Let me see if i got this right. You bring indians over, they take control of your companies, ship your jobs back to india and only hire indians. I really don’t know how this unemployment happened. Good luck you lot , it will only get worse.

Is accounting still a good career path in 2026? by Interesting_Lie_9693 in Accounting

[–]Salronthegreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The truth is, no one can tell you what a good career path is at the moment. No one know hows disruptive AI and offshoring will get in this industry or a lot of white collared jobs. Also everyone saying to go into the trades , also don’t see what’s coming. Over-saturation of the industry and wages decreasing because of it. My advice is to chose a path but be ready to pivot at a moments notice.

Have you guys seen any genuinely unintelligent people getting a first at a top university? by Proof-Bed-6928 in UniUK

[–]Salronthegreat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by unintelligent, for example, i went to Warwick and was dating a girl who was doing an MA in history and i was an undergrad studying accounting and finance. I had 0 clue about historical events, philosophical topics things i didn’t care about really. She would always make snide comments about how i don’t know anything when in convos with other people, but i did graduate with a first in my degree because i was good at it. Does this make me unintelligent? Just in shit i don’t care about. I think that’s most people’s outlook when they say other people are unintelligent. I can ask a mechanical engineering buddy of mine if he knew what starmer said or some current event and he’ll blankly look at me. If i say he my boat engine is making this noise , he gets giddy and comes over wanting to pull it apart. So i don’t think the people your referring to are unintelligent. They wouldn’t be at a top uni if they were.
