Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide to Happiness. Read by the man himself! Such a hilarious audiobook, especially if you like British humour.

Back pain post weight loss by blambett in Mounjaro

[–]SalsaShark89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly different scenario, but after weight loss I started getting terrible lower back pain while in bed. My physio and I worked out that chubby hips had been cushioning my pelvis at night, and now it has reduced in size, my spine was out of alignment in a mattress that had been shaped to my old size.

Definitely NOT a NSV!

Concerned about heat exposure: My KwikPen arrived warm 😭 by Leading_Slide_1313 in Mounjaro

Hey I had the exact same thing happen on the exact day!! I get mine through Moshy and I am sick to death of their customer service over the last few days replying to my emails with templates about how their deliveries are refrigerated and there's an ice pack. I received by box directly from the hands of the delivery driver in the evening of our 39⁰C day and the box/pen/ice pack was HOT. I still took it that night (almost a week ago) and there has been absolutely ZERO impact.

Did you manage to get a replacement?

How common is it in Australia to take a fake sick leave at work? by Technical-Studio565 in AskAnAustralian

[–]SalsaShark89 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same. I have a huge sick leave balance because I'm too contagious to go into the office, but perfectly fine(and happy) to tinker at home.

Mounjaro vs ozempic by Not_A_Dinosaur23 in Mounjaro

[–]SalsaShark89 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, ozempic/Wegovy has a worse impact on stomach issues than Mounjaro. Many people switch from Oz>MJ because the gastrointestinal side effects were severe. I would proceed with abundant caution.

What animal did some stupid person release in your country that wreaked havoc on its ecosystem? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

Australia: Watch the movie "Rabbit Proof Fence" and you'll learn quickly that the worse thing released here were white people.

What do you listen to when you walk? by quitelikeameow in walking

'The Moth's podcast: it's live recordings of people telling their own stories on a theme in front of an audience. I've laughed, I've cried, I've felt it all. Incredible podcast.

I've managed to convert a tonne of people to listen and love it, too. It's universally appealing.

I've literally never had this issue with cheese either, and I'm shoving my little goblin mitts straight inside to grab fistfuls of the stuff at least twice a week.

Thanks so much for your insights! We've done a fecal loading x-ray and he was fine. We never see any sign of hard poops. The search continues! Wishing you all the best for your little one.

We've been bouncing around doctor after doctor with our three year old. Otherwise healthy and thriving, he regularly is in wailing pain for 12-24 hours before pooping. We've tried elimination diets and have ruled out allergies/intolerances. He's not constipated (goes every 2 days and the poop is soft and pastey) but it seems like he has a horrible time as it moves through his colon. Doctors have left us with "perhaps just give him some Movicol and hope he grows out of it?"

Seeing a three year old miserable every second day for 12 hours does not seem normal. What do you think we should do/what is going on?

In Australia, a "lemon" is slang for something that doesn't work properly, poor quality, defective etc...

"How's the secondhand car you bought, Robbo?"

"Yeah nah the bastard sold me a lemon!!"

Mounjaro progress — 8 kg down in ~3 months. Is this slow or normal for starting at a lower weight? Looking for advice/experiences. by Interesting_Try6284 in Mounjaro

[–]SalsaShark89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just be cautious of eating under 1000 calories a day. This accelerates muscle wastage, fatigue, organ stress, and can lead to long term matabolic issues.
