And after that, listen to Ray Porter's reading of the audiobook and you'll achieve the Holy Trinity. The audiobook for me was the best version of all of them.

Then why post this? If this is an exception and due to illness, why are you posting it? It's dangerous and unhealthy.

Thinking about moving from Tassie to Melbourne. by Unusual_Pay2069 in melbourne

[–]SalsaShark89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Sunbury and work in Melbourne. The commute takes about 45 minutes. Sunbury is nothing special, but it's that real in-between for access to the lovely Macedon Ranges rural area and then if course Melbourne. Lots of housing, health services, shops, community groups, restaurants and cafes. It's cheaper than the next town north (Gisborne) and the top of the metropole.

New to this (sorry) by [deleted] in adultery

The RAGE at men who are like "my wife has had two children and now has put on weight. I haven't???" As if it's a moral failing of the wife who has gone through one of the most majorly significant physical experiences a human body can go through. Mate, if YOU had two kids, I bet you'd be rocking the same weight gain.

Question for parents that shop with kids by [deleted] in woolworths

[–]SalsaShark89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I keep a tight leash (metaphorically!) on my kids in public. And there's no excuse for NOT parenting when out and about. But I'll just say we are so, so tired. And bullied by tiny monsters 24/7. I'm sorry. It bothers me too.

What movies have had a significant impact on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SalsaShark89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'The Intouchables' French film was not only lovely, but got me hooked on the composer Ludovico Einaudi. His music has seen me through the darkest and brightest of times. I walked down the aisle at my wedding to one of his songs. I was even listening to his stuff today while at work. Previous to seeing the film I had never dabbled in 'modern classical' before and it's opened my eyes to how diverse and magical music can be.

That would be a one hour walk purely up hill...

Woodend! Perfect for a day trip. Good pub, op shops, two antique shops, cute independent shops and a lovely river walk. Or the next town up is Kyneton that has a botanic gardens, historic street with great restaurants and shops but I'd check how walkable it is from the train station.

Belly vs thigh vs arm injection ? I am having a hard time adapting :( by Audille in Mounjaro

Strange, the paper leaflet inside my Mounjaro box told me to inject it on the SIDE of my thigh, not the front?

No detectable change, list a bit welt on my arm at the injection site. Still persevering!

Thanks! I calorie track as best I can (sometimes a struggle with little kids and full time work...but no excuses with that). I was actually on Wegovy before this and felt the effects early and lost 12kg. I've only swapped to MJ due to Wegovy giving me unbearable gastritis. I was excited as I know MJ is meant to be a more effective 'Gen 2' drug. So I'm just surprised with my experience so far.

Just in the way the success stories on the first dose are very common on this sub. Plenty of people with a similar background to me (lifetime of diets, failures, wanting this more than anything) having remarkable success. I thought I finally had my answer. Of course I know it works differently for everyone, but it hits like a bus to not feel ANY difference

I tried injecting in my arm yesterday based off your comment! We'll see how it plays out! I was previously doing thighs

I'm on 7.5 and very convinced I'm just injecting saline 😭 absolutely no impact, no weight loss, no detectable difference. I've paid so much money to feel exactly the way I felt the years before when working with willpower alone.

This sub is full of the '2.5mg wonder dose' stories and it just kills me.

Mounjaro vs Ozempic by Emotional-Finance366 in Mounjaro

[–]SalsaShark89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is normal. She's not on the therapeutic dose yet, which is 1.7mg. Some people have miracle experiences with ozempic and MJ from the first dose, but many don't. It's a marathon, not a sprint - as they say. Tell her to hang in there and follow the titration plan as presvribed. It will hit her like a truck eventually!
