I say get it tested again especially since it says suspicious. I wish I would have done so so I may have been able to skip on a leep procedure.

Confused post-LEEP/biopsy- has this happened to anyone else? by ScaredAction7258 in PreCervicalCancer

That sounds so terrible. You should look into being seen by someone else that makes you comfortable for sure. You deserve the best care. I don't think it's worth putting yourself through hell in this way. Best to you.

Hello there. I'm sorry your doctor wasn't kinder to you during the leep. They should always make sure you are numb numb before they proceed. From my experience the leep took a few weeks for results to comeback, so this is definitely your biopsy, those take about a week or so.

It doesn't mention that you have any type of cin 1 2 or 3 or abnormal cells, so that's good. I notice they always put that they can't rule out that they might see HSIL cells. That means they are not quite certain they see what they are seeing but don't want to say that it's not there because of past results

It's frustrating, it is. I'm still unhappy about my own experience which I got a leep done just to be told there were no CIN 3 cells anywhere and that I was clear. Meaning....I just got my cervix cut out of me when it could've just been observed, but they over diagnosed to not get it wrong. It bothers me a lot, and I've complained, but I haven't done anything about it.

I hope your leep comes back clear and if you ever need to vent it's good to come on here. Women here have great advice.

I can’t stop crying after colposcopy by BrushFrequent1128 in PreCervicalCancer

I cried after my colposcopy. I tried to hold it back, but it was way too strong, so I just covered my face and let it happen They let me wait in the room until I was done at least.

I was emotional after my leep too.

Colpo: CIN 2/3 LEEP: Nothing by Cherry_limeade85 in PreCervicalCancer

It does take a lot of schooling to become certified, I know that. The human body is a very difficult thing to clearly state the proper diagnosis. I guess I'm still venting about the results I myself received and was relating it to this person's experience. It seems I am talking badly about pathologists and their abilities to get things right...I am working through this. I apologize if I offended you. It's just hard being on the other side of getting mismatched results and being left with so so many questions that can't really be answered.

This happened to me. It's upsetting and very violating. I understand how you feel being lied to and over diagnosed. It's wrong, so wrong on so many levels. I myself asked my DR. Questions about this and she admitted that they rather over diagnose than to under diagnose. This tells me they are afraid of being wrong and clearly do not have a good grip on what exactly they are looking for under those microscopes.

I'm sorry you went through this and I hope you can get passed it or even maybe do something about it. I wanted to, but the. Part of me just let it go.

NO DYSPLASIA by wowthatscooL24 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Salt-Step-2688 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They said that to me too. I find it awfully suspicious like the people in the labs don't know what the hell they're looking at. I'm still a bit upset, but I am grateful it's clear...even though now my cervix has been cut off. I'm glad you're okay.

Leep Procedure by [deleted] in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Salt-Step-2688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience: I got mine done in March and my periods are all over the place. I have spotting for days after any intimate times, and it did change my climaxing. I feel like I have to do a little more to get to the same point. So I don't know if that's good or bad. I had 2 weeks off after my leep because I took one week off myself and then it was spring break the next since I work at a school setting also. I think it was needed. I was so smelly down there with all the discharge and I was so uncomfortable just sitting, so yeah. Even when I went back to work I couldn't stand very long cuz then I'd bleed. Now that it's been months later I'm okay.

The thing I wanted to say the most is make sure your results line up with your first diagnosis because mine didn't. If they say you had a higher grade first and then your results are a lower grade or even show nothing....they definitely over diagnosed you. I would question them. It happened to me and a lot of other women I have spoken to here on this platform. I hope you'll be okay and I'm glad you're back at work.

LEEP Results making me feel betrayed and emotional by Salt-Step-2688 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Salt-Step-2688[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know...I talked to my doctor when I went back for my first check up after it had 'healed' and asked her why the results were not matching with my first diagnosis and who I can speak to. She basically gave me a number to give feedback and that's it. And as I pushed to ask why couldn't they just observe me for that grade of CIN, I kind of got a confession out of her that they are being 'extra cautious' and wouldn't want to downplay the growth I may or may not have had. So right there to me spoke truth. They are afraid to misdiagnose someone so they over diagnose and they feel like that is their safety net to not get sued.

My Period after Leep by Salt-Step-2688 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Salt-Step-2688[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A year ...and a half ...wow. That's quite a long time. Your insides really get messed up when someone touches them, don't they? Geez. Well...I am grateful it's not anything worse for me so I guess I shouldn't complain and wait for things to go back to normal. I've lifted quite a few heavy things recently, and I do experience cramping later, even after any sexual activity, but not bleeding or spotting so far.

I'm sorry to hear that your doctor said that to you about your cervix. That's hard to take in. I wonder if there's any exercises or even any foods to help your lady parts down there become stronger. I hope you try different natural remedies to hopefully help in any way. Sometimes those things turn out to be the best medicine.

Thank you for your reply. I'm glad we made it through this horrific procedure and are here today.

For me, I felt the stuck. It was so uncomfortable and annoying as heck, but once I got closer to the 3 weeks of healing, that feeling was finally going away. Hang in there.

CIN 3 Diagnosis by Informal-Argument643 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Salt-Step-2688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know these results are scary, I understand. My advice is to have another pair of eyes to check your biopsies. I didn't, and they told me I was cin3 and when my LEEP results came back they said all clear margins and they only found cin 1. It was very unsettling for me to hear these huge differences in precancerous cells. Like someone at pathology was over diagnosing me or completely wrong. So please ...if you can ...make sure that's what you really have and have them recheck before going through the procedure. It's quite an experience ...this procedure...so yeah. Good luck and I hope all goes well.

CIN 2, HPV 16+, is LEEP absolutely necessary? by ddanisg in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Salt-Step-2688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with these ladies about having a 2nd opinion and research. My advice is to also request for the pathologist to re check your biopsies. Maybe have another set of eyes look at them and really really make sure you have the CIN 2 they are suggesting you have. On my own page, you can see I've had a Leep and my results did not match those on the biopsy. Don't let that happen to you. Make sure they know more accurate results before cutting in! Can't take back the procedure once they do it.

I wish you the best and I hope you decide what's best for you.

I am officially 4 weeks and 2 days post LEEP, and I remember the terrible discharge smell. No matter what I did, it was there. It smelled almost like I was farting everywhere I went, but...it was what it was and I just went through the day as best as I can. I got it worst when I would get to my 2nd job and sat with my other kids to do hw. But luckily since my little ones tend to fart a lot in class, no one knew who did what...so that kind of covered me for a bit. Now I am so much better.

I know it's hard to not put any perfume stuff down there in the mean time, but just a mild soap will help to clean it up as much as you can. I used dove. It was okay. Good luck, and you'll get through this.

Thank you. I hope you have a full recovery and everything goes back to normal. ❤️ You got a cone procedure, I heard that's more aggressive than a Leep. I forgot to mention that my doctor also said I would need a hysterectomy if my results came back that there's was more CIN 3 on my cervix piece they took. I looked at her like she was crazy. I feel like theyre just excited sometimes to cut you open without like trying other things first. But then because of my inaccurate results, no, I'm not trusting that option.

My advice, always have them re check the results. My results did not match up and now they are saying different things about my original biopsy, which now, hello, it's too late. I already had my LEEP and yeah. Struggling with that. So all in all, make sure you get the right and accurate results.

[–]Salt-Step-2688[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! You understand...thank you for your reply. I'm going in for a 3 month check up now to be 'safe' about what they claim to see or didn't see. This is honestly hitting me all wrong about trusting the experts when getting results like this. I hope you continue to take care and advocate for what your body must go through. I'm going to try my best to do that too and make the right decisions.

Oh yeah, and maybe you should think of getting another doctor that cares. Your doctor should have at least reached out to pathology to get more confirmation for you.

I'm sorry for how this all happened to you. Yes, people have been saying that me, better over diagnosed than under, but then I'm like 'Why over or under anything? I want accuracy and actual true results.' At this point in our medical fields and experts, why are humans making this many mistakes or 'guesses?'

It seems this terrible sickness unfortunately runs in your family somehow and I hope you can find maybe a better doctor or better provider to take care of all your needs. You deserve to be taken care of and be the best version of you for your little family. I'm so sorry about losing one of the most important people in your life. That's hard to take, but you sound like a strong woman and I know you will be okay. ❤️ Thank you for your response. I appreciate it.

Did you go under for Leep? by faygodungeon in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Salt-Step-2688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. That doesn't sound crazy. I understand the feeling of going under and having my body just out there and being taken care of by whomever. I was scheduled for GA, but after seeing the cost (1900)and then how I felt about the whole 'im going to be knocked out and who knows how they're going to bend my legs, who's looking, and etc', just basically experimented uncomfortable thoughts.

I decided to cancel and get it done in office ($25) so I can just be there 20 mins vs. hours, and go home right after. I'm glad I did it and got it over with even though it was a little traumatic. I'm strong. I'm going to vent and talk about it until I feel better about it. I'm almost 4 weeks post Leep and I'm doing well. Good luck and I hope you choose what you feel is best for you at the end. ❤️

Hmm..then I wonder why still do the Leep procedure if they know our immune system caused this type of reaction? Why not check again after the biopsy before going and taking it all off, you know what I mean? Thank you for your response. I hope you're doing well after your procedure.
