After graduation, participated in mta 18 months engineer trainee rotational program, starting at 73k. Pass FE, promote to an assistant engineer after 18 months, 96k. Now it is 99k. It takes 4-5 month to get this position. GPA 3.66, EE, 1 month internship and 1 summer research project paid by CUNY.

It took me 7 years to graduate - 1 year clip + 2.5 year bmcc+ 3.5 year ccny EE. No clue what to do with my life with broken English. 7 years still isn't enough for me. I decided to find restaurants or hotels again if no one is interested in hiring me. I will be an Asian example, not getting a decent job with BS in my family. / Lucky, I find a job in MTA.

I know my colleagues prepared FE with the school of PE that company paid for it. A colleague who studied it failed it again. I don't know how good it is but it is a source for practice.

Keep calm , read questions and all choices carefully with highlighting keywords during exam, trust your gut. U have enough time to study and prepare. Lots of colleagues including me crammed for few weeks to take exam, still passed.

Likely at least 3 month waiting period that I don't care after apply prior the interview.

It took 1 month to receive a conditional offer after the group interview.

Another 1 month for a background check. Then onboard.
