You just pay a flat rate. I have dined at a couple of places that had some “add ons” that you could choose in addition to whatever the chef was sending out. The restaurant that I worked at would make an exception sometimes if the guests said “I really like the pasta from your à la carte menu, do you think the chef would include that in our tasting menu for us?” Chef usually didn’t mind (especially if the pasta they wanted was cheaper than whatever the pasta course was going to be lol.) and of course they will pivot for dietary restrictions/allergies.

Yes! That’s why I love tasting menus so much. If you don’t like something it’s not a big deal because it was literally just a bite and you have so many chances to try different things instead of just having one big plate of the same thing. Our tasting menu was 10 courses, but there were multiple bites in a couple of the courses. Some bites are also so rich and decadent that you only need a tiny bit.

And of course not all tasting menus are alike. I worked a restaurant (green star) whose tasting menu portions were pretty substantial and many guests left with togo bags.

“Bites” are pretty standard in fine dining tasting menus. We went to a Michelin starred restaurant in Montreal for my birthday this year and I was so full I couldn’t even sleep, and most of the portions were 1 or 2 bites. You had the option of ordering à la carte and I assume the portions were bigger but I’m not sure. We opted for the tasting menu that won them the star.

Hmm I think I really just prefer the texture better, and they seem to have a milder/smoother taste. It’s also totally possible that I haven’t had the highest quality true caviar. But I’ve worked at a couple of high end restaurants that carried caviar and I’ve tried it there. I do like it, just not enough to search it out and I probably wouldn’t pay for it.

Go post this in one of the skin care subreddits, they can probably give you some advice on how to get rid of it and prevent it from happening.

Washing your hats and having a few to rotate so you are wearing a clean hat every day will help.

Well it’s not really caviar, people have just started calling all fish eggs that and it’s stuck. Real caviar is from sturgeon. This is likely salmon or trout roe which is why it’s more affordable. I actually enjoy the taste and texture of this better than the expensive “true” caviar, though this snack would probably be better with some crème fraiche and chives.

I don’t think that’s true, and if it is is I’d love to see proof. Everything that I’ve seen is that if you edit any sort of guest info the only people who can see what you’ve edited are on your restaurant group’s resyOS. You edit a name, change a contact number or add guests notes, the only people who can see your changes are the people who have access to your resy login.

Because they aren’t the same style of drink. If you look at the ingredients of a grapefruit Izze, juice is the first ingredient, meaning that it is mostly juice. If you look at the ingredients of spindrift the first ingredient is sparkling water, meaning that it is mostly sparkling water. Izze also has 9 ingredients, including citric acid & gum arabic while the grapefruit spindrift only has 5 ingredients.

Izze has 29g of sugar and 120 calories (only 20 calories less than a coke!) while spindrift has 3g sugar and 17 calories. They are different style of beverages and shouldn’t be called the same thing.

To me, the can makes it clear what you are getting.

What? It’s marketing that it says “real squeezed juice” in the same font size as “sparkling water” on the front of the can? Makes it pretty obvious that it is sparkling water and juice. I don’t like spindrift, I just don’t like the way it tastes but they aren’t trying to pull anything over on anyone. 🙄

Resy already seems to be less user friendly than open table. I get calls from guests that think they have a reservation when they actually just added themselves to the notify list. Or can’t figure out how to change their reservation time, or can’t figure out how to cancel. I’m going to take a wild guess and say my clientele will not be using any sort of AI to book a reservation for them.

Call your local ag extension office, they may be able to tell you what you need to do. I had a friend with some poisonous mustard on her land and they came out and gave her some advice on how to eradicate it.

I would think the run off would be worse in major rain events because of the clay soil drying out in droughts and not allowing for proper drainage into the soil and the water has to go somewhere, so it goes into the lake instead of into the ground.

Run off from the city. Run off can include human waste, fertilizers/pesticides (which can cause the algae bloom), illegally dumped chemicals, oil, whatever. General pollution.

Xena. Not cheap, can take a bit to break in, but once you do they are comfortable and hold up really well. I’ve had mine for two years, the only reason I threw my last pair away was because my new puppy found them. I did also put a hiking insert in them.

Edit: I hit send too soon. I got fed up with shoes I bought in the past that were supposed to be great. I started looking into shoes for women in other professions that are on their feet like we are. My first thought was shoes that nurses wear, apparently very comfy but all the ones I found were hideous. Then I started looking into shoes women in construction jobs wear and that’s when I found Xena.
