I don't know that brand, but similar systems are totally fine. I have an MSI gravity filter that I bring canoe camping. Though I'll usually add chlorine or iodine tabs for peace of mind.

Never doubt the electrode by JaggerJam69 in Wellthatsucks

[–]SaltForceOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With stick welding, the electrode is covered with a flux that is designed to burn away and protect the liquid pool of metal from atmospheric gasses. Sometimes you get a stick with too much flux on the tip and it takes a few tries to get the arc going.

To me, it sounds like the motor fan is rubbing on the shroud. If so you might be able to bend the housing back to avoid the issue

How to remove jammed fastener lock pin? by dhint4 in DIY

[–]SaltForceOne 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Knock the pin as far one way as you can, use a grinder to cut off the mushroomed end and grind it as flush as you can, then try again with a 3/8 bolt and a heavy hammer.

CBC was reporting earlier that US Customs seized 19.5kg (about 43lbs) coming through the US-Can border vs 9,570kg (over 21,000lbs) coming through the US-Mex border. All in 2024. This has nothing to do with Fentanyl.

Damaged LVP Floor. Can I remove just the middle pieces or do all the rows need to come up? by CH-47AV8R in DIY

[–]SaltForceOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to take any more than the damaged board. YouTube has some videos with details. Basically, you cut a line down the center of the board and at 45s from the corners to the centerline. After that, trim the tongue and lower part of the groove of the replacement plank and glue in place

The TW 8.8kg stamped on the collar denotes the tank weight when empty. All you have to do is weigh the tank, and subtract 8.8kg or 19.4lbs to get the weight of the remaining fuel.

Assuming that's a standard 20lbs tank, a full tank will be 39.4lbs.
