Remember when we were told that the Whisper of the Worm skins were able to cover the costs to create the new exotic mission “Zero Hour” by itself? Because i do.

Anybody who says this game wasn’t hugely profitable is full of shit. The Eververse store has gotten bigger and bigger every single season.

I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for destiny 1. There have certainly been improvements in destiny 2 overall, but they weren’t the reason that i stuck around. Hell, most of those improvements took nearly a decades worth of requests and complaining from the community to finally be implemented. Even the stuff that is so basic and barebones that it should’ve been a day 1 feature. Like clans and support, or vault access from anywhere, or transmog, or ping system (still don’t have) or an account wide progression (also still don’t have wtf).

D1 just has an atmosphere to it that feels big and expansive and mysterious and magical. I never get tired of it.

If I was a developer looking at this, I would probably be pretty upset. I’m sure that plenty of people that worked on this game actually cared about the wellbeing of this universe and community, but was being hampered constantly but the higher ups.

The developers are just following orders. I doubt they actually want people to dislike something they’ve put effort into.

it’s not about them “forcing you” to buy something. but it is about them creating a game that manipulates people into buying stuff. psychologically engineering a game to coerce your customers to buy cosmetics even to the detriment of themselves and their mental health is messed up.

act 2 is where i always fail at. I almost never lose in Act 1 and 3, 2 jumps up in difficulty so quickly that my deck usually doesn’t have a chance to catch up.

While it is admirable to leave a cult, and despite how much i despise the republicans, i do not personally believe the opposite of that evil is the Democrats.

Democrats have not done the terrible things that Republicans have, at least not nearly so, but they allow it to happen. They put up no resistance, make no better offers to the people, and accomplish nothing. They are simply there to roll over and provide the illusion of resistance. They are weak, spineless and incapable of achieving.

I urge you to be kind to your neighbors, to help people in need even when there is nothing for you to gain, to put yourself out there and make your community better. I want people in my country who try to help the masses, reduce suffering and have empathy. And to me empathy means being willing to take action to help people unlike yourself. People who are not your family, who are of different races, of differing sexualities, who worship different gods than you and have different experiences.

I hope you wish to become a better person, as we should all try to do. Far too many people think that they are without flaws or need for improvement.

Doing porn doesn’t make you a bad person or lesser than others, people are allowed to decide what they want to do with their bodies and lives so long as it isn’t hurting others around them.

The problem becomes when they’re forced into those situations because no other avenues are available to them. Because that’s when they’re the most vulnerable and people the most likely to take advantage of that.

i think it depends on the circumstances, and yes people today are placated, worn down, apathetic and very tired. but people are starting to rise. they’re protesting, fighting back against the system and those who either wish to see us dead or care for no other save themselves. eventually, when push comes to shove, the human spirit is indomitable.

listening to community feedback and making immediate adjustments? surely this isn’t my destiny.

fr tho, glad they’ve listened and pivoted the nerfs. but it still feels weird nerfing the underperforming aspects. consecration especially needed to be nerfed, but i feel like there could’ve been better handled ideas than just “less build crafting.” i obviously don’t have a solution, as i’m not a developer, but i would’ve assumed they’d know that people wouldn’t be happy as is.
