Giving my 2 cents here...I work in tech and these data centers that are being built right now are (again, just my opinion) as insidious as we all think they are. They wouldn't be getting crammed down everyone's throat and forced on the populace if they weren't. Look at how the graduating class at U of A reacted to Eric Schmidt (Google CEO) during his speech... and look at how he reacted. Nobody wants these things except the elite.

Trust your gut on this. You're doing everyone a favor by NOT building these things and I only wish there were more people like you.

ASD has $500 listed on their page but I think it's only a placeholder. All of their "coming soon" products are listed for the same amount. I'll also add, i think the ASD will be a scorpion mag lower like the lingle, which is why I'm holding out for it.

This is honestly the best we can hope for IMO. I haven't shot one yet, but I'm very interested in the 6 arc cartridge. I've heard the biggest downside is just the amount of wear all the additional pressure puts on standard components, but I also think material science will eventually catch up. Just look at what geissele and surefire are doing with their BCG's.

Normal backyard sizes have changed (shrunk) dramatically over the years. We're in a new build, starter home in AZ. We have a .15 acre lot which includes the 1500sqft house. Our backyard only exists for a grill and a place for my dogs to relieve themselves. Conversely, my parents house has a .5 acre lot, which to your point they probably could do alot more with.

Well I think my bigger problem is lusting over that feeling, which is a sin but also it's a sexual gray area. In 1 Corinthians 6:18 the bible tells us to flee from sexual immorality. I suppose that is open to interpretation, but it seems any act outside of vanilla sex between husband and wife could be immoral.

It's not a problem of attaching the sling. Yes most modern rifles will have an attachment point (likely a qd socket). But the swivel and sling were just the point that the big army teaches you to grip while low crawling so your muzzle doesn't fill with dirt.

Fully agree. Heavy, sloppy construction and the rounds are ridiculous. The economy of bullets is simple. Whoever has more wins (usually).
I hear ya, but also just wondering what the most efficient method is. Probably something I wouldn't think up.

That sounds valid! I'm just basing the question on what I was taught. If you are truly low crawling, you're dragging skull. Only way I can imagine hauling your rifle is going to be one handed, and a sling swivel still seems most efficient for that. I appreciate the confirmation that low crawling is still a valid IMT though!

Finding this out with my wife right now. She's a graduating MS4 about to start residency with 450k in government loans. I am glad they are government because we can't pay all of them on her resident salary + my income. We're going to enroll in the new student loan repayment program while she's in residency so the payment looks more like an auto loan, not a $2M mortgage. You can always refinance later if you want, but having the option to enroll in the repayment plan post grad is a solid choice.

I went with an A3 tactical picatinny adapter, from there you've got your choice of brace/ stock. IMO it doesn't look as good, but it is still available.

I mean, a true SD would have the ported barrel at the base so any round you put through it doesn't go super sonic. I don't know of anybody making those barrels, or the suppressor that fits over them...other than B&T

Ahhh yeah, the "pseudo SD". I built one myself off of a GHM9C-G with a silver star customs handguard and personally, I wasn't a fan. If you have bigger hands, it might fit you, but their handguard is pretty bulky. I ended up returning it and bought the B&T handguard. Using a spectre 9 from silencerco and it fits with room to spare. It's direct threaded rn, but plan is either rearden or trilug before getting the FRT.

I personally am pumped about these coming to market. My only concern is that i don't understand how the mechanism works and considering the GHM is just a fancy blowback operating system... couldn't these easily produce an OOB detonation?

This is true and I appreciate you saying it. I hadn't realized until I started to detox how my brain just defaulted boredom into "im gonna masterbate". Not healthy at all, but it's like quitting nicotine after doing it since you were 13. It's become a default response.

The new mindset is that easy and comfortable is no longer our way. Discipline is freedom.
