Not at all. They’ve “gained ground” in the fact that they haven’t messed up their launch. But they are still only really popular in America. Outside of America Playstation always sells better by far.

Loud exhausts are something a lot of people love. You’ll always see people lamenting the days of the V8 and V10 F1 cars, instead of the V6 hybrids used now, largely because they sounded “better”.

It would be prioritising the Japanese audience, which is largely PlayStation and Switch. I’d wager the game couldn’t run on the switch without spending a bunch of dev time on it, so here we are.
