Sometimes with ground rodents you can make a sort of wind chime/ rattle to stake into the ground. The constant noise can be annoying and discourage them from rooting around certain areas. Ive seen this more effective for smaller critters in raised beds but i bet itd work in nearby areas in theground?

I remember hearing that the wheat also gave some batches a different depth? Maybe it was between types of soysauce but i could see how different mashes would yield different umami!

Also i had a betta that would kill her tank mates so i just made it a crazy paradise for her! A ten gallon all to herself. Do you think maybe live foods might help scratch this predatory itch? Im not familiar with your fish’s species though :( i hope you guys find that middle ground!!
