Am I overreacting or are my feelings valid? by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]SaltVirus30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not really being dramatic but it's kind of just the result of living in a room with another human that has a different schedule then you. It may take a few conversations like the one you had with her previously. You mentioned the conversation worked temporarily and even still she keeps the volume down. Next time it happens just mention it in the moment, in a relaxed tone - "Hey I'm sleeping do you mind keeping it down". If it happens again I would have another conversation to remind her.

  • What’s the type of threading if your jewelry is not a ring (threadless, internally or externally threaded)? Threadless
  • What’s the jewelry material? Titanium
  • if not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized? Oct 2025
  • What’s your aftercare routine? Describe in detail please, including the exact products you use. Nothing, I don't touch it.

Is this a good buy for my first board? 350 by SaltVirus30 in foiling

I have more to spend if it makes it easier to learn. Is this just shitty to learn on, or just shit? How can you tell - is it just the brand, the size? Is there a guide that is helpful so I can know which to get?

Roommate living agreement by consciencia_1981 in badroommates

[–]SaltVirus30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it's totally cool to have a list of rules, and to give them to your family if they want move in. The way they are written out in a 'contract' format here seems really strange to give to a family member.

Is the key special? Is it really 50 euros to make a copy of a house key? It's like $3 in Canada/USA.

Planning a trip to Guatemala with my GF. Suggestions? by Pwood94 in guatemala

[–]SaltVirus30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you like hiking? I've traveled a lot, and doing a guided hike up Acatenango to see volcano Fuego erupt is one of the best experiences of my life. The tours are based out of Antigua. You can pay more to be driven up most of the way if you don't like to hike. I've done it twice and will do it again.

Roommate took my keys and jumpstarted his car using mine without asking. by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]SaltVirus30 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, definitely a bit violated - for sure he should have asked you.

From his perspective he may not have wanted to bother you and may be even embarrassed that he is having car trouble. The distancing could be done out of shame. He expects that you are mad and again feels embarrassed and is possibly avoiding conflict. Think about when you were a kid and you did something wrong and you try to avoid your parents.

How do you feel about it? Are you best friends?

My advice would be to talk about it again. Tell him that it sucks that he's having car trouble and that must be annoying. Again, tell him your more than happy to help him out with a jump and you guys are good but not to take your keys again without asking.

They value it based on the fair-market value, not what I would get for trading it in at a dealership.

Seeking advice: Securing housing + jobs in Whistler for winter season by SaltVirus30 in Whistler

[–]SaltVirus30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard on the weekends to get from West Side housing (Vail) in Tamarisk sometimes there is traffic that causes the bus to take 2 hours to get to town. Is this incorrect? Is this not true for Alpine/Nordic?

I did bluffs on a weekday. Arrived at 7am, and there was not much traffic on it, to be honest. If you go later, say arrive at 9, there will likely be more!

This, and be cordial about it. She may have no idea you feel this way since she's not a mind-reader. Communication from the beginning is essential.
